All cheaters will perish.

C’mon. At least half the morons have moved on, and generally speaking, the “gamers” out there are not “racers”. Dedicated to racing they are not. COD attracts the kids. We ALL know that. It’s not going to take every single one out of the game, so you guys can chill, and stop trying to pick apart every silly thing someone says. after all, this thread in itself is stupid and a rerun of yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that.... and so on.
Eh? I only asked a simple question.

He asked this...

Call of Duty released 2 weeks ago. What does a FPS have to do with a racing game?

Then you replied...

I don't understand

I must have taken the last bit of that out of context. I've just read it all over again, & I understand now. So for that, @Ian Fairbanks i apologise.
It’s all good. I do feel like each passing day gets better online. As people loose interest, they stop playin and hopefully move on. But people racing like idiots will be here forever. Some ppl like to troll.

Yeah that's true. There will be people like that no matter what racing game you're on unfortunately. I usually tend to stay offline, & do big racing events offline with the computer to avoid the maniacs who will ram you off the track.

For myself, I just go into online racing with the anticipation of being hit in every single corner. If I go into it with that mentality, then I can do really well if I don’t get hit. I also then I am able to consider it as a challenge rather than a burden

The next thing i have to do is buyinga steering wheel. Since this absolutely idiotic decision from whoever i cannot use my old ones…Maybe thats a problem which a lot of you here know very well ;-)

So i have to drive with pad…. And with this little thing in my hand it´s not possible form e to drive as accurate as with an wheel. So for all out there.

If you meet me online and you see my car goes wild in the curves….sorry for that. ;-)

This excuse is as old as car analogies in Internet discussions. You are playing a game with real people using their precious time. If you want to annoy other people there is plenty of games that will let you do that. This is a Racing Game that is FUN when people behave..

Lets pretend i met you in real life, you are out shopping, you spend 45 minutes carefully picking out the stuff, except, i walk by, take your cart, and push you into the shelf. Because who cares about you i want this cart, this is about ME ME ME.. now you can start over, enjoy...

You´re absolutely right !
Thats my credo ! Try to behave like a gentleman !
In forums, internet, video games or whatever electronic medium.
It can be so easy.

i starting too feel it's getting worse, at first everyone was carefull because they wanted their rating to go up, everyone felt that if they hit someone their rating will drop, but the las couple of days I've encountered a lot of SR S drivers pushing me or someone else of track for winning a position, because they've learned that their rating wont drop. and because there is no ghosting its even worse.
the last three races just when i finally overtake cleanly someone for the first ir second places they hit me on the next corner and sent me to the gravel, and after watching the replays I'm sure they do it in purpose.
but don't get ne wrong, 99% or more of the players I've encountered are true gentleman, and sport mode is really really fun overall, i just wanted to join the rant and vent the momentary frustration, because in the end it's just a game and all this is part of racing (now i understand Seb and his tantrums this F1 season)

I'm playing both call of duty and gran turismo, done that since Playstation 1 -98. New WW2 is not my "cup of tea", but GT Sport is, and I really enjoy the game. Until someone write to me on ps messenger after a race, "wtf are you doing" etc etc.. Trying to avoid the kids that only here for destruction derby, but still I who get the crap from all. Use to block them, anger manegment people don't interest me, serious gamers and drivers do. Yeah, its just a game, a game I've been waiting for for years. So, hope the "rammers" try better next time, and try not to rage, and yeah, the penatly system must get over an update so the person who gets rammed dont get (as mush) penatily. Sorry for my bad English, my driving is a lot better :)

On SR D and less there is strong ghosting, C and greater the effect is weaker, and on SR S there is no ghosting.

There is ghosting in SR S too mate.I've seen it with my own eyes (unless they changed that -hopfully- with the latest update).

I thought I read there was no ghosting on S. It was one of the earlier informations at the bottom of the home screen. I've ran a few races on S, including FIA, but have never seen ghosting there. But maybe there were no incidents that triggered the effect.

The tutorial (conduct videos) are terrible lol.
It really is beyond me, why there is no other gating in place but to let two YT-videos run, which everyone uses for a bio break or to grab coffee. Why no license tests milestones that enable you to race certain classes/races online? Or, the most logical gate: The requirement to have completed a track you want to race online in circuit experience. I'm not even talking about Gold (although the Gold times are a joke), but just have you at least complete them, as in earn Bronze!

Yes there is but mainly only for when it's absolute chaos like with cars sideways across the track. You sure are thankful for it too when two guys in front smash into each other at the exit of the chicane on Dragon Trail and end up stopped in the middle of the track and the first time you see them is when you shoot through their ghosted cars, without it I would have certainly smashed into the both of them and then the cars behind me would have smashed into me, It would have been utter carnage.

I came into Gt sport online events with a sense of naivety thinking it was going to be all clean racing and everyone doing their best to avoid contact. After a few races I realised that the ranking system only makes people even more desperate for a win. Experience will allow you to anticipate douchebags and their cheating manoeuvres.

Penalty system will never be perfect...the only thing that GTSport got spot on is ghosting.
So if you look at iracing which was released back in 2008/9 and has been regularly updated over the years until today people moan about the penalty system...at least we don’t pay a subscription fee every year to play online like iRacing...
We all do mistakes but you can make things right and give the position back (at least this is what i do) i care about clean racing. However, some only care about the win or a higher position and they will do whatever it takes.

Look at real Motorsport like Formula 1 as example, the stewards do not always make the right call/decision/penalty even after checking replays. So I don’t blame GTSport for now. Let it grow and maybe one day it will be better (but don’t expect it to be perfect)

This is one spot where the penalties should be harsh for cutting. It allows people to run this section faster than should be possible/not deadly.

What I have noticed in the last couple of days is that in GR3 races the worst offenders as far as ramming and dirty driving has been the majority of drivers of VW Beetles which I think is the latest flavor of OP within the class cars and many just jump on whichever the bandwagon is riding that week.

This type of racer seems to have the least racing manners and all that matters is trying to get to the front whether by clean or dirty methods seem to be of no difference.

The Beetle shouldn’t even be in GR3. It’s a disgrace.
