Shearer is a player who cannot be replaced, and e will never be matched by anyone, a true legend! I hope we see him back as manager at some point.

Ashley.
Shearer is a player who cannot be replaced

Thank Zeus.

It's a wonder he played on so long, with the sight problems he had and all... *cough* Neil Lennon's head *cough*

Hopefully now Newcastle can forget him and the fact he's been keeping them afloat for years and get relegated back where they belong (apologies to any Newcastle fans - I've got no issue with you, just your foul club).

Yeah i really hate Newcastle. Especially when Graeme Souness was their manager, although it was quite funny how horrifficly bad he was. He managed to get rid of most of their best players and cause all the other players to hate each other. He also spent about 50 million on crap players.

Shame to go out in such a bad fashion but he did score that game so it's not that bad.

Looking forward to see him playing in 'The Match' next year. :D

Shame to Newcastle, but I'm a Man Utd fan so its good news to me, hope he's ok though.
Heck I even started with Newcastle on FIFA06 and he retired on my game. lol Replaced him with Owen from Real Madrid

I like Newcastle, but I that might have been due to my 6ft 5" relatives that live up there telling me that I DO when I was littel, when at the tiem I couldn't care less.

Shearer is an agressive player sure, but a fantastic one and I have a lot of respect for him, without him Newcastle are nothing really and he was great for England. Could've come to Man U when he had the chance, his reason not to was that we've had our dady, it's Newcastles turn to start winning things, we went on the continue winning the league and then the trebel. Fool.

Shame, bit of an anti-climactic end for such an accomplished career. I better not let my Newcastle-supporting workmate read some of these posts - although arguably they are mostly right... Newcastle without Alan Shearer is a bit like The Doors without Jim Morrison... only rubbisher.
