Capone send me friend request tonight. Ill be able to help you around 9pm.

Robby: Downforce to me is just a crutch. Im typically able to tune for the most amount of available grip regardless of the car. Ill get it without downforce, im just gonna have to spend some time to find the sweet spot.

Might be on tonight till 9, then I'm going on a date with the ol ball and chain.

Missile action?

Well we all see drifting differantly I guess fastfox. You see it as a crutch and I see it as that damn BMW is not gonna out run me now and like said before its not really about speed but say you mess up on your first follow entry. And the lead car does it perfect if he can he will run off and leave you. But with the right tune and or downforce applyed you will catch him quick because of the more grip on the rear tires. Some say you lose angle when you use downforce but those who say that oviously have no idea how to drive. But yeah look forward to what you can come up with. I'd like to slide with you when I get back in town on december 21st.

About the downforce thing. They upped the wing resistance on gt5. It was the higher you set the downforce the faster you go but it is vise versa now

Well thank you for that I will have to play with my settings when I get home but I'm sure it wont be to hard to have my nsx angle hungry and fast at the same time once again. If you guys think I'm trolling this thread just say something and I will stop posting.

We don't call people trolls here.

I believe more down force = less angle = more speed. For me I prefer to see a car get full lock then a little angle fast car. But this is just my opinion.

Spank your point is a good one but we all know if you keep turning into a corner downforce of not your gonna get mad angle then its just down to how much countersteer you must apply to keep the drift done right I can tandam with anybody and most any car I'm not going to arue with your opinion cause it is your own but you can achive angle and have speed.

Yes, but anyone can enter at high speeds and have angle. But will steadily lose speed if you don't lose the angle.

The statement that will end it. Controller drifter vs Wheel drifter, its going to be REALLY differnt.

Fastfox you just had me thinking... If you tune for maximum grip, so you must always be in control and keeping your speed up. But what if you get shaken up or mess up your flow. Its like all the grip back fires? Kinda hard to explain, you know what I mean. Its not as forgiving?

Just bought a dfgt. Now hopefully I can pick this up again like riding a bike.

Correct. If you make a mistake it can be disasterous. But it also depends on what your doing. If your going low speeds such as at Tsukuba, You really wont notice a correction. But say your sliding thru the high speed section on GV, and you make a mistake or you dont have enough wheel spin the rear will catch traction and throw you straight into a wall. There is a fine line between grip and slip with most of my tunes. It works for me as I have become real aware when something bad is about to happen, and correct really quickly. Some have tried my tunes and on certain vehicles and love the amount of control, and some dont like the fact that there is so much grip. Its a matter of preference.

As Spank has seen, my grip setups can be fast, maintain angle, and be so snappy that it is hard more most people to follow.

Blasphemy! NSX's dont get angle :( Grip is good for comps, but for the rest it's useless. The best drifting is done with cars that are lots more forgiving :D
