well if you take away the lo carb option all you have left is eating a low fat, high fibre healthy diet with plently of exercising...(ie biking)

but there is also a new trend in dieting thats a spinn off from the Atkins diet...

its where you eat a normal healthy breakfast (cereal) a normal healthy lunch (sandwich, salad or pasta) and NO CARBS from then onwards, till the next morning...

apparently it works well and you dont feel the craving for bread and pasta the way you do in a Atkins diet...

obviusly a slower rate of weight loss...but a lot healthier..

EDIT>>>>

since this has no name...i'll call it the Turbo Diet....why not?

Okay, I don't want to sound rude or mean here but you simply have to get up and do something. Don't sit down and say "Damn! I wish I could get rid of this love handle" Stand up and say, "I'm going to run 5 miles a day until I get rid of these love handles." It's all a matter of not being lazy. I know it's hard but it's the only way. You can't sit around and wait for the weight to lose itself. It doesn't work that way.

You'll succeed by cutting out carbs, lowering caloric intake, and exercising. I don't know how else to do it. The excercise should be at least 30 minutes of cardio at least five days a week. It's important to get your heart rate up and keep it up for a while.

by exercising in the morning, you'll raise you body's metabolism for at least 6 hours, this results in your body using more calories while at rest to maintain your bodily functions, breathing, heartrate, digestion etc....

so if you do exercise...do it before work...even just half an hour a day on the exercise bike before work....it will do you a lot of good....then during the day eat small portions often, no large lunches or binging....then eat nothing after 7pm.....

this is proven to work in most people but there is no fast fix when losing weight.....

there are several good exercises that you can do at your desk if you have a job where your infront of a computer all day...

sit with your knees together, back straight and hands loose by your side. Lift your knees up 6 inches keeping them together and hold for 10 seconds. Do 10 reps of this several times a day and it will tighten you abdomen muscles......coupled with a few sit up in the morning you'll have a hard-flat stomach in 6 weeks...
