WAKE UP EVERYONE IT'S THE 1920'S AGAIN
Hardly a history expert but I seem to recall the 1920s ending very well.

Cringe Smile GIF

Shocker incoming; 1 of the men deported to El Salvador in this first batch turned out to be innocent. They mistook a "I Love You" in sign language from a picture & a tattoo of a soccer ball with a crown & "Dios"/God written under it as proof of gang affiliation. He entered the US legally.
According to court documents filed Wednesday, ICE officials had flagged a social media photo of Reyes Barrios making a gesture they believed was a gang symbol. However, his attorney, Linette Tobin, noted the gesture translates to "I love you," in sign language, and also closely resembles the gesture for "rock n' roll."
DHS also cited his tattoo as evidence of gang membership. Reyes Barrios' tattoo is of a soccer ball with a crown, rosary and the word "Dios" (Spanish for God). A signed declaration from the tattoo artist states Reyes Barrios chose the image for its resemblance to the Real Madrid soccer team logo.

That's the bar for this administration. Remove all the references to black people. Deport latin people. Worry about any corrections later and claim they were "mistakes" or "AI" afterwards, even though it's not suspicious at all why the "mistakes" conveniently happen to non-white instances.

China spends a lot on education. This century was always likely to be theirs but the USA is just gifting it to them.
Sad to say, but China is looking way forward into the future....

and dumpty trump aspire to be how Russia, North Korea and China were when they started out to become who they are today... trump is learning from them during his first term, and now taking their old blue prints, looking into the past...
America is going backward....

aint gonna end well...

so start making up your own education... nothing makes sense anymore...

Damn, imagine Terry was our president. He's actually like the most likeable person on TV/movies and seems so humble IRL. Completely opposite of the **** we have now.
In this environment, I don't think he could be president. I think the gains we made in 2008 on being ready to elect a non-white man as POTUS have eroded away due to Republican backwardness.

Yeah the problem is they aren't going to Venezuela, they are going to El Salvador for....who knows how long. Honestly, does anyone know? They'll probably get lost in the system there. Again with no evidence, no trials, no convictions, nothing - there very well could be innocent people being sent to one of the most notorious jails on the planet with zero recourse. This is some serious ****.
Well, at least one of the humans deported to rot in El Salvador has no criminal record in the US nor Venezuela. DHS pinky promises that he was definitely a terrorist though. He has tattoos!

This is how rude, disrespectful & petty the Trump administration and its lackeys are:

This library was a place where Iranians and other groups banned from the US during Trump's first term met stateside family that didn't have permanent residency (because they couldn't leave the country). I'm sure this is in preparation for the new travel ban.

Did anyone see any new guidelines for travel from the UK to the United States? My friend wants to visit from the UK but she is very nervous that she might get detained because she has posted on social media she's anti-Trump (plus she's mixed race). I have heard and seen nothing stating that anything has changed stateside other than the new administration simping for Trump, but it wouldn't shock me if they are intentionally obfuscating this information to trap people who arrive into the country.

Trump's promise to void Biden's presidential pardons appears to have the same worth as the majority of his other promises.
I don't think that would be legal under any situation, because it would then mean Trump would be declaring Biden a criminal and he should have presidential immunity thanks to Trump. The Supreme Court would definitely not hear this.

I think he's accusing the previous administration of incompetence rather than criminal intent.

Besides, if he were to get away with this then in the slim possibility that you ever have another Democrat president, s/he/they could take advantage of this presidential precedent and send the J6 rioters back to jail or deport them to El Salvador or something.

Only because I'm genuinely curious - does this bother you @Yard_Sale ? This isn't meant to be some kind of gotcha, I'm asking in good faith here.

Trump rescinds order targeting law firm after it makes $40m promise

This is not a public entity, but this administration has forced them to give them free work and change the way they do business else lose access to information critical to the company's business. This doesn't seem to be within the spirit of free speech - it's coercion, it's real estate developer tactics. You can argue that it's not illegal, but I don't think that's good enough when it's directed by the entity that is supposedly responsible for guaranteeing free speech.
