@Biggles @mustafur

He'll do everything possible to place the blame on the fed, which would be magnificently disingenuous.
Not completely wrong, the main issues with modern monetary Policies start and end with Central banks, but it's obvious Trump wants to lower interest rates to make it seem like his term has economic growth, even though when you lower interest rates all you do is basically expand credit growth as loans get cheaper.

The only reason you lower interest rates in the first place is because the economy is struggling, because why would you want to devalue your Currency especially when your the Reserve Currency of the world and other nations have already threatened to leave it.

As you say, Trump is desperate for the US economy to achieve higher growth rates, so he has goosed the economy with deficit spending & pressuring the Fed to lower interest rates. I don't think the economy has been struggling, but it IS struggling to achieve the growth rates Trump bragged about & may now be headed for a downturn.

So this happened...

I am guessing the "constituent" is really a troll. I mean, I hope it is.

AOC seems to take it all in stride.

Trump sending this garbage:

Post-Fact world

Trump needs to be added to this song:

My university professor played this at a lecture because our topic was about Stalin and his cult of personality.

This song is so badass I love it!!

I'm sure all the Right Winger Commentators gobbled this up like Life Support.

Insane right winger: "Oh that's mental health issue."
Insane lefty: "well that's just leftist politics."

Trump's presser alongside the President of Finland is interesting. Trump starts by introducing the President of Spinland before going on a rant about jockstraps, collusion, alligators and spies.

If this was your grandad you'd be hiding his shoes and the keys to the nuclear weapons.
What truly worrying times we live in when someone who is so clearly unhinged still has the support of so many.

"Unhinged" is a fun and interesting word. It is completely correct to say Trump has no political experience, is highly amoral and only rather floaty respect for anything other than his own whims. So generally unhinged. But in this context - the Presidency of the USA - he can be compared only to his competition in this contest, not people applying elsewhere for other offices or positions. In motorsports terms, he was in a qualifying race against a dozen or so Republicans who were fulsomely described by the media as the finest collective group of presidential candidates in the history of the party. And he was in a race against one female in the final. Somehow, he easily mopped the floor against all other Republicans, and won a squeaker against a very damaged Hillary. And the ONLY thing he is "good" at is social media. So how is he hinged or unhinged? As far as I can tell, the only thing that connects Trump to the reality of his current job is his political support in the Senate. It is there that we must look to know how sound are his moorings.

Literally his twitter is a compilation of continuing unhingedness. I don't think it's a fact that he has support in the Senate due to his personality as much as "it's us vs them and unfortunately this is our guy, we're don't like him, but while he's here we are going to support him."
I think PzR hit the nail right on the head. It worrying that so many people still support him. Not politician people, but in general. Is very worrying that this many people can support someone of Trump's nature and be happy about it. Doesnt bode well for our little republic honestly.

...it's a fact that he has support in the Senate...
This is the key takeaway. For now.
Reading the tealeaves of worry and boding doesn't accomplish or mean anything. I once bought a souvenir tee-shirt on a reservation in the Four Corners. It said, "Don't Worry, Be Hopi".

As hinted by @Rallywagon, Kennedy may not have actually been elected democratically, but stole the election through voter fraud in Illinois and Texas. The agents of this fraud were said to be the mob in Chicago, and LBJ's oil connections in Texas. Kennedy subsequently alienated both of these constituencies and they turned on him. Kennedy infuriated the mob by allowing all their business properties, including lucrative casinos, in Havana to be taken over by Castro's revolution. Later, he set his bother, Bobby, the Attorney General, to investigate and prosecute the mob, infuriating them further. The Bay of Pigs invasion fiasco when the CIA mercenary army was slaughtered on the beaches due to denial of air cover by Kennedy, enraged the CIA immensely, and made them another of his enemies. Another sort of betrayal was to his wife, Jackie. Kennedy, despite being the first Catholic president, was a known philanderer and was widely believed to have cheated on his wife many, many times, possibly including Marilyn Monroe, a famous starlet of the day.

Bottom line, Kennedy betrayed his family, betrayed the oilmen and the mobsters who got him elected, and betrayed the CIA who's invasion of Cuba was killed in the crib. He was not loyal to the people who served him. In short, everybody and his brother had a reason to see him dead. The only folks who thought otherwise were believers in Camelot and schoolboys like me who cried when he was shot to death in Dallas.

Are these conspiracy theories or proven facts. To be honest it is the first I heard, except the filandering.

Ceasar was elected...

How old do you think I am? Or better yet how old are you?

"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones..."

covfefe*

Keep in mind he seemed to have been thumbing out "coverage" before [I can only imagine] an uninitiated staffer tried to remove the phone from Trump's tiny grasp.

Yes.

All are my opinion, but mostly are historic facts. As noted, the election tampering remains unproven, though oft alleged. The basic and essential takeaway truth is that Kennedy was a flawed man who made determined enemies of very important constituencies who initially supported him. He was murdered and a whole lot of people thought he had it coming. His enemies included the Mafia, the CIA, and oilmen. At least some historians note that he was apparently making efforts to wind down the Vietnam conflict when other interests wanted it expanded.

I prefer facts over theories though. My opinion of Trump is also based on facts.

Yep, apathy of the masses, that will solve all our issues.

You didnt specify a timeline on worse elected leader that's bad. At least a few dictators were elected officials before they turned dictator.

Most people, even those who politically support him, have a low opinion of Trump. He disturbs the feelings of many sensitive people in Seattle, I know that for a fact. But opinions and feelings aside, what is it that determines his future? Firstly, it is the House which determines the charges and impeaches, then the Senate that decides, and it must be by 67% or over. There is no appeal to a higher court. Should Trump survive impeachment as now seems likely, and then be renominated, it's down to the voters.

I am not a fan of the impeachment inquiry. But I think the strategy is to hurt his campaign and keep him busy untill the 2020 election. The US really should reform their parties.

The key worry about the impeachment path is that, should it fail, it may cause a backlash against the Democrats, as happened against the Republicans when their impeachment of Clinton failed. About our two-party system, it is flawed, and is made worse by corruption inflicted by lobbyists. However, it is well dug in, and what can change it I cannot imagine.

You might look into the impeachment of Andrew Johnson.

Rep. Thaddeus Stevens
It is intended as a remedy for malfeasance in office and to prevent continuance thereof.
It's not so much a punishment for alleged activities* as it is a means to prevent future misuse of power.

*Not all activities need be deemed criminal. Two of the the eleven articles of impeachment against Johnson didn't allege criminal activity. Those articles cited speeches he made in an "attempt to bring into disgrace, ridicule, hatred, contempt and reproach, the Congress of the United States" as well as bringing disgrace and ridicule to the presidency by his aforementioned words and actions. Do either of those sound familiar?

What does that have to do with my statement?
If he's believed to have engaged in activities not befitting an individual of his station and there's no reason to believe he won't continue to do so, why should he be permitted to retain said station? If you believe he's engaged in this manner and don't support his removal, doesn't that make you, at least in part, party to that behavior?

I regularly see people who want to see him gone suggest that it's better to put energy into replacing him instead of removing him--Nancy Pelosi being chief among them--but the two aren't mutually exclusive; the two causes aren't dependant upon the same resources.

He disturbs the feelings of many sensible people. But I get it; leaning on the whole "snowflake" thing helps many a craven citizen feel that their self-interested politics don't actually cause that much harm to disadvantaged people.
Gonna need to define those who "feel" disadvantaged vs. those who are actually able to be classified as disadvantaged...

At any rate, why would Trump care about that spectrum of voters anyways? They're not the swing voters that helped him become elected, and it's a waste of time to do such.
