You couldn’t draw a map that would make Canada that colour red, no matter how you drew the lines. It would be 30+ million blue votes, no matter how you divide it up.

I just caught the last part of Trump doing his executive orders where he was talking about outsourcing the US penitentiary system for the worst criminals to other countries because it will cost less. Is this not exactly the opposite of what he's projecting with his ''tariffs'', and isn't this exactly the reason American companies have outsourced to other countries?

I'm pretty much done with America at this point and will no longer buy American products unless something drastically changes. I know I am just a drop in the ocean but I don't care, I'll just do what I think is the only appropriate course I can take against a tyrant. Goodbye American Bourbon and hello CC, Tequila and all the other wonderful products produced outside of America.

It was also just more of his fully admitted projection.

He ran his campaign on "the immigrants are criminals being dumped into this country", but would rarely add on that that's what he would do, too & then praise the one of the South American countries for it.

Dislike your take, which I know is a joke*, I know a lot of Iranians and the idea of "obliterating them" solves a problem is pretty racist asshole, as much as it would be for any group of people.

But how long before Elon designs a dead man switch for himself and/or Trump that obliterates the world if one or both (lets be real, the Trump one would be fake) of them gets killed?

Also, why the hell would you put a 25% tariff on goods from CANADA? Is Trump mad? American companies build stuff there! I thought Trump was all about supporting American companies, but this stupid policy does anything but. Same goes for Mexico. He really doesn't know what he's talking about.

Honest question, why are you only realising it now?

The reason I ask is that Trump is doing exactly what he said he was going to do.

Hell, the only thing he's doing he claimed he wouldn't, is implementing Project 2025 (which he 100% is doing), but for anyone with half a brain it was clear that was put together with his clear approval and intention to use.

Now to answer a question you raised earlier, he was never about 'helping Americans', that's not what this is about. This is about totally changing the very make up of the US at every level, to create a deeply nationalist white-ethno-state that exists to primarily benefit a group of very rich, deeply right-wing people.

To tell you the absolute truth, I didn't think Trump was THAT extreme. I thought the whole "far right" narrative was just a pointless beat-up by the left-wing media. Turns out it's the truth and I now wish to distance myself from him. It's a total clownshow.

Trump is that extreme because he had 4 years to stew over all of the "wrongs" he was given after his "stolen" election and "witch hunt" trials. It was telegraphed what he would do and he didn't need to even lie about the extreme things because nobody was going to call him out on it. The economy wasn't horrible, it will be horrible after he and his yes men are through. Republicans are scared to stand up to him due to his mob, and Democrats try to hold "decorum". As a result, he has no opposition.

If you are being genuine, I think there are probably several million Americans, who voted for him, that feel the same way.
 
Fetterman voted for Pam Bondi for AG.

He didn't even have to for her to get confirmed. He just really wanted to show his support.

Why Democrats are not calling quorum and rejecting every single unanimous consent is beyond me. Their job now is to delay and obstruct, not capitulate.

It doesn't cost Democrats anything to waste Republicans' time. There's no hurry to get through these confirmations. Make them work for it.

They'd just find a way to make it so that a swing state still has more of an effect on an election than a whole "former country" of 30 million new voices.
