Please don't jump to the conclusion that all Tesla drivers are Trump supporters. The vast majority of Teslas on the road were acquired during the period that Tesla owners were derided by the right wing. And I suspect that the dwindling supply of Tesla buyers are unlikely to be Trumpsters (apart from those buying CyberTrucks maybe).

I drive a Tesla. I buy wind-generated electricity to power it. I am horrified that 49% of my fellow voters chose Trump. Horrified.

The final straw, was that last Monday, when Mrs Possum and I happened to drive past an anti-Trump rally, we were yelled at for being "Nazis".

This is the only thing I dislike about our Tesla. It's the best car I've ever driven serious miles in (I'm excluding a brief McLaren and Ferrari experience).

I have written to the Tesla corporation asking them to remove the stench of Musk from our car.

/endrant 🥲
You're better off trading in the Tesla. No chance anyone at Tesla would even bother to read your submissions.

The Tesla is leased. Breaking the lease would be a net $$$ positive for Tesla (and net $$$ negative for us).

I get the impression that there's a large chunck of Tesla owners who have only gone down that route because the buying process is so simple. You can order and finance it all online. It's like buying a hoddie off Amazon.

Non-car people are often intimidated by dealerships. They don't want to be bamboozled by seemingly infinate options lists or be hoodwinked into paying for 'essential' extras pushed on them by over zealous sales people. They can order their new transport between advert brakes of their favourite show - and 'save the planet' at the same time.

I'm not sure if we deserve someone as relentlessly passionate as Bernie Sanders, but sometimes I think he's the only person with enough charisma, clout, focus, and determination, at 83 years old, to take the fight directly and effectively to the Oligarchy. This is the first time I've seen anything resembling a plan of action emerge from the left since Trump took office.

We are on the road for democracy and justice
I say him and AOC. He is where he needs to be. Right in the muck and mire working with the people. I watched this earlier in the week.

You mean.... immensely privileged people in a position to buy a new car like a normal person would buy a hoodie? That's even worse..

Oh no, looks like the recent poll numbers made Donny mad.
I won the Presidential Election in a landslide, won ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, THE POPULAR VOTE, AND ALL FIFTY STATES SHIFTED REPUBLICAN, a record, and now I have the best polling numbers I’ve ever had. The Democrats, run by broken down losers like James Carville, whose weak of mind and body, are going crazy, and just don’t know what to do.

71% & 69%? Lol, c'mon Donny, at least pick something more believable like 57%.

His approval rating is still much too high, even if it’s below 50. Fact that people like some of the **** he’s pulling is pretty ****ed up. Still, I feel like a big recession is coming our way, unless somehow he tones his crap down, so I guess even blind people will “see” when they get kicked out of their house. For now it’s just peanuts, unless you’re a recently hired government employee or a trans person, which are both relative minorities.

I watched that too, and you're right about AOC as well 👍. There's also some others that are starting to speak up but not nearly enough.

Just finished watching this with my morning coffee. Keep it up Bernie!

True. The small positive is that it's only been in free fall since he took office compared to his first term where it went up at the start. I imagine it will continue to fall when the next set of polls come out and people are able to reflect back on these Ukraine comments (as well as whatever moronic things he's doing) because that has clearly struck a nerve with the older conservatives who remember being anti-Russia/communist a big part of the American conservative identity.

Eh...I don't think so. Current conservatives that still stick with Trump are cult members. The only thing that will make them turn on Trump is if he hurts them financially and it would have to be bad. Even expensive eggs won't do it alone, even though that was a complaint about Biden. Russia/Ukraine is just nothingburger for the cult.

Well, yes, that's the cult. I'm referring to the older generations; those are the ones the most vocal about the Ukraine comment like Mark Levin whom the older conservative crowd listens to or even Neely Kennedy.
To the extent that the White House said that Ukraine started the war, I disagree. I think Vladimir Putin started the war. I also believe through bitter experience that Vladimir Putin is a gangster. He’s a gangster with a black heart. He makes Jeffrey Dahmer look like Mother Teresa.

These ghouls grew up hating Russia with a passion & it clearly still lingers. Even the New York Post put out a front page headline saying the President was wrong & gave reasons surprisingly.

Do I think these guys will still tow the line? Most likely, but we know there's still something of a line Trump can't cross with them. It was enough for Trump to attempt to walk back his comment by admitting Russia was the aggressor, but promptly **** all over himself by saying, "Well, Biden & Ukraine didn't use nice enough words to deter Russia".

But what about when people get their DOGE dividend checks for tens of dollars??

Oh, those are only going to people who already have enough to save discretionary income?

I thought it was supposed to be $5,000 from the savings DOGE is supposed to be finding, but I guess that's not gonna happen anyway since Elon has already cut the "definitely wasn't a pipe dream" goal of $2 trillion savings in half.
For one, Fishback's plan is based on an assumption of $2 trillion in savings, the goal that was originally set for DOGE. Musk and Trump have since halved that number, telling Sean Hannity in a Tuesday night interview on Fox News that "the overall goal is to try to get a trillion dollars out of the deficit."

I more expect us to have to pay a $5K tax due to Elon's stupidity.

Oh, don't worry, something like that is coming the more this idiot & his DOGE find ways to "cut wasteful spending" & the Republican-led government remembers it needs to siphon more dollars out of us to make up the difference.

I am sad to see that the SecDef decided to cut some leaders that were liked by the enlisted genpop. All over X, the reason was DEI and people are happy about it.. Though I knew that the CNO has been doing a really good job. It just sucks that the SecDef is relying on the public to give him a nomination.
