The fact that they put that on television tells you all you need to know about the level of good faith Trump went into it with. Vance really thought he cooked with some of those zingers he tried to ambush Zelensky with, too.
"All right. I think we’ve seen enough. What do you think, huh? This is going to be great television. I will say that. All right. We’ll see what we can do about putting it together. Thank you."

I believe those were the words Trump finished that public spectacle with... he's right in one sense, those 5 minutes will go down in history.

100% it was all premeditated to give Trump an excuse to fully cut funding to Ukarine and get out of NATO. He'll soon be saying that Zelensky isn't being cooperative and Ukraine doesn't want peace or whatever.

It was all done for a reason.

AAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA That was brilliant.

Zelensky is truly a man who writes the history - he's the second person after Monica Lewinsky to be ****ed so hard in the Oval Office.

Thanks for the show. :D
Please kindly return to the hovel you've been in for the past year or so.

You can find it here.

I guess the French really shouldn't have helped the Americans during the American War of Independence. France provided crucial assistance to the American colonists by supplying them with money, weapons, troops, and naval support, which played a significant role in their victory against the British, particularly through their official alliance with the Americans after the Battle of Saratoga, effectively tipping the balance of power in the war.

The POS has already started down that road.

Forget Europe abandoning the US. I think the entire world needs to. Just leave them in their own little bubble.

I guess the signs were there when America never paid the French back in and they entered in even worse financial debt that help lead to the bloodshed revolution.

Maybe thats what Trump is afraid of (though thats giving him way too much credit as a student of history when he's pulling the same mistake the UK did when Hitler wanted to invade Czechslovakia )

“the man” only stood his ground and then had to deal with an idiot about attire. SIT DOWN!

As soon as Trumpf(who thinks he’s at Caesar’s Palace playing cards) started raising his voice I knew it was over. Especially when Vance opened his trap.

But if the rest of the world cut the US out, sure the US would struggle for awhile until they figure out how to produce everything in-country that they need to survive alone, but at that point they'll have a self-sufficient country that doesn't need trade with anyone else, which fits Trump's whole "Make America Great Again" protectionism agenda.

Do we really want that?

I find it hard to process this whole thing. I couldn't even watch the whole clip because it just makes me cringe so badly. From the bits that I've seen, It just doesn't compute. Even since this sorry excuse of a human being and waste of oxygen has been in power, the s***storms have been nonstop and its only being a month and a few days and now we have this! Maybe I'm exaggerating but he was talking (or in this case shouting) about Zelensky being the cause for WW3, but I think trump might just move the needle a bit to get us there a lot quicker with this move.

Based on what trump said, they don't really need anyone one else anyway. They could and probably will produce anything they need. Seeing how things are unfolding, I'm betting that he's probably thinking if they need some finite resources that they don't have in the US, they can just go to war with another country to get it. So them being self sufficient is to be expected because they've been there before. I think the bigger issue is the influence and the impact of those massive Americans corporations that basically have a hand in just about everything in people's lives and the fact that so many infrastructure from many different countries are relying on them to function.

Thing is it would take far longer than MAGA has to actually get everything back to a level of comfort with the US isolated. Because this is the USA, we aren't content with merely surviving, nor do we grasp the concept of going without.

I'm so, so glad that I never worked for the US department of state nor went down a diplomatic career path. Those poor people must be mortified.

It would take forever for us to become that sort of self-sufficient & even then, there are resources we rely on that are not in the US.

I think part of what made Canada become our biggest trader is b/c of oil & steel minerals, but I can't say for 100% certain.
