I believe the existing program can be bought for $100,000

So I don't know why anyone would want to shell out another $400,000 extra for the Gold ....
Because if a rich foreigner wants to bribe their way to the top in the US by getting into Trump's pockets, they need an easy way to deliver that bribe. Might as well just pay it up front, it saves all the hassle of laundering money through Trump's scammy "businesses".

Trump has made it very clear that he's for sale to any and all who can afford him.

And that money will probably go to Trump and not anyone else.

At least there's some good news coming from America.

Skiers at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont on Saturday morning experienced sub-freezing temperatures and snow flurries.

But receiving the chilliest reception, by far, was Vice President JD Vance, who was met by protesters who shouted names and obscenities as the Vance motorcade rolled past. One sign read, "Vance is a traitor. Go ski in Russia."

How dare they disrespect Vance? Don't they know he was travelling with a couch and a small chair?!

I think one thing that most veterans don't think about is that they are just another DEI category. Just like trans people, for example, they frequently require extensive medical and mental health care. They often could have some sort of a disability. So if you think about it from a completely calculated and cold point of view, they worked a job where significant bodily or mental harm was part of the job description, they got paid for it, they retired or were terminated, why should they get any special treatment now?

I wonder how much the Civil Rights marchers would have achieved had they just stopped at holding placards, because sit-ins and freedom rides didn't have the proper amount of decorum.

So, it appears that Donald Trump's Art of The Deal diplomacy consists of giving the stronger side whatever they want (Israel and Russia) and leaving the other side twisting in the wind.

Which is to say any idiots could have done the same thing...
Trump is really good at marketing **** looks, sounds and smell tasty...

Only the fools get tricked ...

Tim Snyder explains it SO well. I am ashamed of the 49% of my adopted countrymen for their voting choice.

The video is very worth watching.

BTW, Ukraine's President got 73% of his country's vote.

The root cause that led to all of these failures is the fact that trump and vance and their whole entourage at least 51%of this country is the failure of these people being decent human beings...

They are not.
They represent the swamp of grift, greed, jealousy, uncaring, carelessness, selfishness stupidity and other bad behaviors.

I wonder if they even pay any attention during their so called religious mass and sermons....

Oh well, the country is going down the gutter and they are leading it down the toilet ...on them

Any idiots didn't do the same thing though. If it was Kamala or Biden, Ukraine would be getting another 50-100 billion.

The problem with the Democrats, is that they rely too much on the status quo, which is not much of a plan, so I agree with you, that's not better.

The problem with trump is that his peace plan benefits too much the wrong party, the party of Putin.

We need a real better solution of a peace plan and no one has proposed one yet ....

It's not as simple as what trump was proposing, he might have the cards, but that doesn't mean it's the only solution

Democrats should hold a bunch of town hall meetings themselves. There must be a whole bunch of disgruntled people out there.

That's still better than the current "I'll end the war Day One" plan which is only focused on making Ukraine seek peace, not Russia.

Our defense contractors receive that money to replace the equipment sold to Ukraine which in turn, benefits American jobs unlike again, the current market that's sitting on a state of uncertainty.
Trump has so far imposed 10% tariffs on Chinese imports and says he’ll impose additional 10%, plus 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico on March 4. Trump also says he will impose “reciprocal tariffs” that match the duties other countries levy on the U.S. That comes on top of tariff plans on cars, semiconductors, steel and aluminum. Even if Trump doesn’t ultimately move forward with all his tariff threats, the mere uncertainty has a chilling effect.

“If one of the inputs of your factory goes up by 25%, you might cut your production and say maybe we’ll have to fire some people,” Ziemba added.

Meanwhile, the Department of Government Efficiency’s slashing of the federal workforce across the country “also impacts consumption, because people are losing their jobs or are afraid of losing their jobs, so that might cause them to save more money,“ Ziemba said.

This week, The Conference Board’s consumer sentiment survey found that it registered the largest monthly decline since August 2021.

“Views of current labor market conditions weakened. Consumers became pessimistic about future business conditions and less optimistic about future income. Pessimism about future employment prospects worsened and reached a 10-month high,” said Stephanie Guichard, senior economist for global indicators at The Conference Board.
