Strange how republicans complain that federal judges are a threat to democracy, when in fact they are the only safeguard that makes sure that the government follows the directions made by the Congress. Without the judicial branch there would effectively be no Congress, because the government could just decide to do whatever they want.
Although I guess it's not THAT strange, given that the republicans tried to get rid of the Congress altogether back in 2021.

Have anyone here gone through the Project 2025, and how much have they already checked mark their checklist?
How much more do they have to go through still to complete that entire Project 2025 ?

Reversible? Probably not after...
They must have built some sort of point of no return...
Are we just gonna let them take over everything, and let everything undone from the Experiment?
I am too busy with day to day trying to scrape for an egg or two, and jaded to even think about revolting....
Most of us probably are and so Project 2025 will just take over everything...

Once they fire all government workers and replace them with loyalists and they've neutered any resistance from any other branches. As of now, they've not completed the first and the 2nd is getting pushback. The legislative branch has mostly rolled over and played dead (Both parties are afraid to do anything as Trump/Musk have no qualms siccing their base on them and/or funding opponents to unseat them). The Judicial branch has stayed somewhat intact but it hasn't faced a big test just yet.
Politicians' love of the position they are in means they now want to keep the power they have and are afraid to stand up for the country as a whole.

Congress has been hiding behind their own dysfunction for generations now. They're inability to get anything done has shifted most of the actual governance onto the executive branch and the results are now the executive branch has near-plenary power to decide policy. They've now effectively given up spending power too.

I doubt even this administration would actually dismantle Amtrak. The service is widely used on the east coast and popular with those constituents. The rest of the country is a different story and I could see funding slashed in that region, which reminds me I need to ride the Coast Starlight before it's too late.

You know DEI keeps well deserving white men out of jobs and paints some of the bad actors as bad actors. And you can't have that. j/k . DEI has become the equivalent of "woke". The original meaning woke had nothing to do with its current meaning. It was simply for African Americans be to aware and not ignorant. Nothing more nothing less. I assume that it will improve tests results because in The World of Trump, to be "low income" means to be dumb, and if low income students no longer have access to government subsidies to help in their education, that will mean less of them can take the tests, hence test results must go up because less peasants can take tests!

There used to be a time in America when musicians of different races weren't allowed to play together by conservatives who thought it was disgusting and horrible. Trump and his goons want us to return to those "good ole days". These kids were supposed to play a concert with the U.S. Marine Band at the White House. That was canceled once Trump issued his executive order. Retired musicians from all of the Armed Services bands stepped in. DEI also applies to conservatives. Despicable Evil Idiots.

More like the 1930's. I'm just shaking my head. Sometimes I just want to get in a rocket and fly to Mars for a month for some peace and not worry about all this drama and warfare. Maybe Elon will send me a special ship to fly back to Earth in once I know things are calm and Trump did is job. I'll have to take my smartphone and watch Twitter news.
