Not being rude or anything but Trump can go **** himself when it comes to trying to put his ******** on the rest of the world.

He's trying to exert pressure on us to help out big pharma, the tech companies (Facebook etc.) and their meat industry here (Australia) too.

Albanese on Tuesday said he was concerned the report targeted the news bargaining incentive while raising concerns about pharmaceuticals and Australia’s comprehensive biosecurity controls. He said the three issues were not up for negotiation.

“The idea that we would weaken biosecurity laws is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. In order to defend the exports that total less than 5% of Australia’s exports, you undermine our biosecurity system. Not on my watch,” the PM told reporters in Adelaide.

“I have very clearly indicated Australia is not negotiating over the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. We are not negotiating over the news bargaining code. We will not undermine our biosecurity.”

The PBS is a big one for me. One drug I take for Rheumatoid Arthritis would go from $31.60 for a four week supply to $1272... and that's before big pharma gets their grubby little hands on it.

“ Trump says that in 1913, income tax was placed on US citizens "for reasons unknown to mankind".
"They established the income tax so that citizens, rather than foreign countries, would start paying the money necessary to run our government,"

So the rest of the world is solely here to subsidise the American government & way of life?

I can tell you where to stick your tariffs and your country Donny, but rumour has it you like that sort of thing.

Okay so this isn't really an important thing, but...WHY IS THE LIST ORDERED THIS WAY???

It's not alphabetical. It's not by tariff rate. It's not regional. It's not by distance from the White House or Mar-a-lago. It's not numerological where each letter is assigned a number based on its position in the alphabet and then the letters in each country name are added up and ordered highest-to-lowest or vise versa. Did they pull country names from a hat or throw darts at a map? Is it alphabetical by spelling of land area? Make it make sense.

I'm guessing there is a hidden excel column with some dollar value as a multiple of the (tariff rate * imports) or something that is sorting this list.

Someone please break in to the White House and slap the man. Groceries go IN the bag and are food items purchased at a grocery store. Groceries are not a "bag with different things in it"!
In fairness to Trump, that would be his experience with groceries.

He may have seen them being brought in already in a bag by the servants via the servants entrance... probably only once though. He wouldn't have any experience with where they come from or how they get into the bag. ;)

However, the slap is still warranted.

I found another list sorted by trade deficit (from USA's perspective) and it matches this order almost exactly. The fact that we are placing tariffs on Australia, who actually has no tariffs on US imports and has a trade deficit with us is pretty insane.

Thanks I hate it.

I guess that also [not really] explains Heard and McDonald Islands, which are uninhabited islands near Antarctica...part of Australian territory.

You can't spell tariffs without FFS.

Edit: 🤬

The "unknown" is that Democrats & President Wilson understood tariffs were an unfair tax on the American public. But, it's not surprising Trump & the modern day Republican doesn't know this. The only US history they are confident in knowing is that they were the party who freed the slaves, and even that's actually wrong.

"Gr0k, sort random."

To me, it looks like the list was sorted and presented in order from country trump (and the Project 2025 people) most try to put on the spot (put on notice) first to last...

good that russia is spared. /S

I have to believe his economic advisors are either as qualified as a giraffe to be in a presidential cabinet or are secretly trying to boost gold. The fact no media company will bother to report on this incredibly destructive plan speaks volumes.

The fact that this orange guy still has a close to 50% approval rating is just ****ing sad. Country is really far beyond saving at this point.

To be fair, those ratings don't really mean much. It's always a poll from a small section of citizens. If you get more Democrats responding, Trump will have a sub-50% approval, if more Republicans respond, Trump will have a higher than 50% approval. And there's no guarantee that the selection of people polled doesn't lean towards either party to begin with.

What y'all need is a wide spread voting method that the entire country can partake in, like an election, that can give you an honest view on his current approval rating.
