I'm curious about a good Evora tune as well. Going to go hunting after the school week.

I'll get on in a little bit to test.

So what are we doing with specs? Fully modded right? What do you think were looking at as far as weight goes? I tend to try and make the distribution at 50/50 to start off with. And then go from there. I left the Ford at 50/50 the whole time.

I had the vette at 48/52 most of the time, but would put more weight in the rear for the really tight courses. I didnt learn how to tune until after Monaco and i was determined not to let what happened at Monza happen again. Plus at Suzuka the front tires got eaten up way too early and i was never in contention. Most races i was using a real soft setup though, raise the car up 20mm or so and low compression rates to absorb the curbs and hills.

Trying out Mad Finn's tune but it is not at all stable. They basically set it up to have the maximum amount of oversteer, completely imbalancing the car in general. I can't keep it steady at an oval, let alone throughout the tire life of a circuit race.

The cars that are doing just the WEC races, would not be allowed if this series was in my hands next season.
Just saying.

I thought the Evora was going full time in GT2? That's what I heard but could be wrong.

Might also try on that Priaino tune. Heard good things about that tuner.

And yes, 485 is plenty to be competitive IMO with the heavier GT2 cars, if the Evora doesn't have to conform to 1300kg and can get the understeer tuned out without destabalizing the thing. I think it would just have to take some really big handicaps in weight.

EDIT: I would join you guys but my internet kept kicking me out of my own lounge so I went to work instead. Let me know how it goes.

Praiano is my 458 tune :D

Just did 1 lap with the Evora at Laguna Seca with my basic tune, 1290kg pulled off a 1:25.4xx! Still at 471hp not broken in. More time can definitely be found when it has more hp. I think if it was 1280kg and 480hp it'd be perfect.

Woah, they have Ice Road Truckers for 2 bucks on PSN Minis. I was contemplating whether to buy it or not just to see how crappy it was for a joke. Didn't.

We should get together Friday for Sprint races.

I took the Evora out last night in a 500pp room. I came in third overall. I think it was pretty good considering I went up against TC's (cowboys) and RM's. Ran with the Praiano tune. Not sure about the weight though. I know it was stage 3, which I think is lighter than what Seth is running.

Just took mine out on Laguna Seca. Came in at 1:25.235. Pretty sure I can find .2 in there somewhere to get into the 24's. Gearing wasnt right for the track.

I think I'll build another one with stage 2 weight reduction. Or whichever one gets me closer to the 1290 mark. I had to add 188 kg's to match Seths 1290. :ouch:

44/56 weight distribution was how I tested. Toe was 0.0 front and .05 rear, could be better with toe out. Camber was 1.5 f/r.

Spa!
Just for the fun of it!

We doing alms type cars or open field?

Thats a good idea. I should bust out the G35. Dont know if I even own one in the game yet. :(

Any more pics of the prelude Kev? I wanted one of those so bad when I first started driving. I ended up with a 300ZX instead.

Ive really enjoyed it, its still fun to drive around. I have the Type SH model (hence my username) which is the sport handling version. My buddy wanted a Z for the longest time and currently has an 03' 350Z... automatic though :sly:
