Is this a lost cause i keep gettin smoked even with a level 4 turbo im having some difficulty taking the lead in the pack. What the heck ever happened to the qualifying lap like in gt2 u gotta start in last place every race with no opportunity to start number one thats some horse s*** it s unfair the player should be given a chance to take the pole position if he qualifys the best i dont like that no qualifying round. Anyone else agree anyway let me know if im going to have to break the bank to buy a better car im at 23.5% completion i really like the merc. gtr im just not sure how good it is to race against that minolta or the mazda 787b advice would be helpfull

Select "Practice" before the race. Do one lap, then the timer starts. Finish that lap, and that's your qualifying lap (or do more if that one wasn't your best). If you're the fastest lap, you'll get pole.
