Hey all;

Got a FF question here...

Is it technically possible to make an FF car handle like (ie, feel like)an FR car?

Also, are there any FF cars that have naturally occuring oversteer, or is the phrase 'oversteering FF' an oxymoron?

Thanx for ya input:cool:

Any ff can oversteer, its just that the minute you accelerate with all your power, the car will not respond like fr and it will understeer. Try some left foot braking, but other than that ff will never act like fr...

Yea. My Lupo Cup Car is set to oversteer just a little bit to counter the understeer from flooring it in corners. It's quite fast =P

Exactly.. there is a video of a Honda Integra Type R in Best Motoring racing in the rain... the ITR was oversteering like hell... every corner it oversteer.. even the driver didnt believe it! He almost lost it in a corner but regain control and constantly in the video he made comments like "this isnt a FR!!" and "OVERSTEER!!" and " Man this car oversteer" etc...

you dont need to do this to try and drift, but this makes the FF
sort of non FF in a way ..
all you gotta do is put ASM(active stability management )
set it to 1 and put sim tires on the rear only...
this makes the car over steer and still keep it in place..
kinda make it like a AWD effect to it(i think)
thats why i call it cheat spec..
try it out see what happens;)

but i still say, the best way to go for any car in the game is
TCS 0 :D
ASM 0 :D

you still have to utilize the ebrake alot
try to use it so it doesnt lock the wheels
...& controll the rear wheels

if you find it hard to control throttle while u use the ebrake at
the same time, just put some TCS on or lower HP
so you dont have to concentrate as hard :banghead:

Is this because when u try to floor the gas in an FF, the front tyres lose traction, resulting in understeer?

The thing that makes the FF cars oversteer is the weight of the car. The rear axle has (normaly) only the 30-35% of the total weight. That means when the car turns the natural axis of turning is just behind the engine. When in a 50-50% (like BMW cars), the natural axis is in the middle of the car.

It's not power what makes the car "rolls" like an FR (loose rear traction), it's the weight placement in axles.
