With the recent surge of popularity regarding 'modding' of computer cases, I thought it'd be neat to show off your creations!

Here's mine:

System:
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
VIA KT266 Mainboard
512 MB PC2100 DDR RAM
40 GB 7200 RPM & 20 GB 7200 RPM HDDs
nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4600 128 MB DDR
Windows XP Professional

Case:
Chieftech Blue Aluminium, Windowed
Dual 12" UV Cold-Cathode Tubes
Dual 80mm UV-reactive Rear Case Fans
Single 80mm Front Case Fan
All Rounded IDE and Floppy Cables, UV-reactive
Thermaltake Volcano 9 + Ducting Mod
Thermaltake GeForce 4 All-Copper Cooler
Zalman NB32J Passive Chipset Cooler (replaced crappy stock BIOS fan)

Here's a shot of the case in full light. You can see the monstrous TT Volcano sticking out sideways because of the ducting mod.

And, a shot of the lighting.

Wow! That looks really nice. How much did it set you back? I was saving up for a Dell XPS, but that isn't really modded...

I would mod my case but I dont like the look of my case now. I'm gonna save up and buy an Antec case or something like that.

Total, I have no idea. I've been adding to it piece by piece over the last 6 months or so. Probably a total of $1,000.

Sony Vaio PSV-RX750

That's what it looks like, except the Monitor I have a 17" Black Cicero Monitor :)

Here's what the monitor looks like.

Cool, you modded that out.

I like the neon glow of your case, AltF8!

 I can't believe how stupid you are.

Once I get my own computer, I'll mod it up.

Looking at doing a completly stealth case, totally black, it looks like you have no window, until you start it up, and the internal lighting shows through the case window.

Utilising tints..

Very cool case AltF8!. I have a TT Volcano 7+ and it is huge, highly recommended to keep your CPU cool.

That looks very cool AltF8! 👍

I would never put plastic panels on my case. Thos plastic panels have no electromagnetic shielding. In other words, electricity could get into your case and ruin your hardware.

Well, I won't be placing my computer next to any electromagnetic source large enough to cause any problems anyway. If I did, then the plastic/metal thing wouldn't make a lick of difference. ;)

Apparently, the Lite-On 48x12x48 CD-RWs are faster than the 52x24x52 ones. Well, that's what the person down the computer store reckons.

Really? What about the 48x24x48? That's what I have...
I have a feeling though that the difference could change with just a firmware update.

Well, I've been running Winamp3 for about an hour straight. That puts the CPU at 100% the entire time. I'm seeing 111F-113F.

:)

Sweeeet! I need to work on my PC's case flow. I'm seeing 120ish with the case closed. But I can stress my CPU and the temperatures barely changes. :odd:

I don't know about you, but IE was just shutting down for no readily apparent reason. Mozilla has crashed on me, but it was due to the Netscape feedback wizard. As soon as I told it I don't want Netscape spying on me, everything was fine. :)

I would showcase my computer but I am currently planning to add a couple of things to it. My computer tends to run way too hot when the cpu is at full load from games/SETI/whatever else. I don't have pictures of it unfortunately.
My specs are:
AMD 2100+
MSI KT4V mobo w/ DDR 400 and 8x AGP support
512 DDR 400 ram
8x Ti4200 128mb
Blue neon light
Raidcom 8 bay Case
16x DVD drive
48x12x48 CD-RW drive
2 80mm clear fans in the door
Win XP Pro

I plan to add the following to it:
Thermalright's SLK-800 heatsink
Vantec's Tornado 80mm fan rated at 84 CFM for the Heatsink
Nexus NXP-201 Rheobus fan controller (basically to throttle the Vantec fan back when not playing games because it will be loud)
Biohazard symbol etched window sticker

Average temps during normal use are about 122 F but if I play games then it shoots up several degrees. I'm hoping the heatsink and fan will help to fix this. I also plan to cut a hole in the back of my case and use my current cpu fan as an exhaust fan. Right now though I'm thinking it's mainly an airflow issue.

I could be really annoying and say thats its black.

Dodge' 512mb of RAM this is your dream computer get more than that!

It's a case I found about 4 years ago. It has gone through 4 CPUs and 3 motherboards. It's about 3 feet high, black. Has wheels. Can't tell you much more than that.

I see you didn't notice the "x2" at the end of the name...:P ;)

There's also the bracket after the price of one which is doubled in the bracket...This one still needs training.
