Im pretty sure you could tell weight distribution in previous GT games, but not sure. Anyway, is there any way to tell in GT5? That would really cut down a lot of initial tuning time for myself and Im sure many others.

Nope. Your options are to look it up online or use something like this as a rough guideline:

FF: 60/40
FAWD: 60/40 to 55/45
FR: 50/50
MR/MAWD: 45/55 to 40/60
RR/RAWD: 40/60

I can usually tell where the weight wants to travel on each car by using the default camera view and paying attention to the movement under braking/accelerating, etc.

This does not work for all cars.. but a fair few I have looked at have been accurate to about 1% on factory, a few (like the mini cooper S) are waaay off.

X = front spring + rear spring

front spring/x = front weight percentage
rear spring/x = rear weight percentage

Thanks for the info guys. This does seem to work really well for the few cars I checked last night, thanks.
