Ice, i tried roller a couple yrs back but the place i played had the worst surface ever, so i quit that pretty quickly.

I played since I was 5, then when I was 15, got hit, as well as twisted by someone lying on the ice, and herniated a disc... Had to quit, doctors orders.

It was awesome while it lasted. I now play pickup sometimes.

I mainly play Ice hockey(shinny and old timers in the summer and league in the winter) And inline hockey in the summer... Thats over now.. my team just won nationals too! Best team in Canada haha
I'm a goalie too

I play both ice and roller. I'll play any postion. I like being a forward though. I'm not a bad goalie either.

Ive been ice skating since i was 3 playing since i was 5 now i play on a travel team im captian play defence and winner of fastest slapshot 3 years in a row

Being from canada I play all the different styles of hockey. not only that but I play Lacross too. check out the lacross thread under the other sports section

I'v played rollerhockey for about oh 5 or 6yrs. now. I don't have as much time as I used to so I'm not as good as I could be. I Play D but I feel like I'm more of a halfback.

Nick:banghead:

btw, there's not much Ice around here except where the sharks practice but the leagues there are pretty expensive, even roller is kinda expensive... at least when your broke. :D

that must suck hockey is one of the best sports

So far this year my team is 5-5
I have 4 points in nine games but there's a brazilean kid on my line who can't skate that well, so I have an excuse.

I miss the days wheni played, i shouldn;t have quit, but i still do go to the out door rinks and play!

If I was in Canada and it was cheap I'd play all the time! Even though I don't know how to stop on ice. :banghead:

So far this season my team is doing alright we were at 5-5-1 but then we lost 4 straight now are record is 5-9-1. We only have nine games left in the season but there's always playoffs and tournaments.
Personaly I'm playing good but there's this guy from brazil on my line so most of the time I'm covering for him so I only have 4 pts. 2 goals and 2 assists.

how much is it nick? it's 300-400 in canada and close to 500 for rep i play batam house and just broke my thumb playing.......damn boards.

Me? For Rollerhockey it's $150 for about 10 games which is a little over 2 months (1 game a week). It also includes insurance?? whatever that is and playoffs which is about 3 games if you don't lose early. I'm not really sure about Ice here, never tried to get into it.

Well this semster I decided to try Ice hockey with some friends since they are going to the same college I am and I have to say I really like it. The sights, sounds, speed, the only thing I hate is I get a wicked headache the next day I guess like a hangover? (never had one). It's rather different to roller and it seems like everything has less feeling maybe due to the fact that I have so much freakin padding on. On another note... How bout them Sharks?! I still have a hard time figuring out how they keep winning?! Especially being first place in their conference.

I noticed that some of you follow hockey very enthusiastically here, but I never saw anybody speak about their own experiences with the sport, or, in other words, if they play hockey.

That said, are any of you viewers active hockey players? (I am a goalie)

This thread is here, as the current sub-forum seems to be devoted to NHL and college-play.

Blake: I know I've heard about that somewhere... but, doesn't that make him straight? (the off-topic bit)

I played back ice hockey back in high school and I'm still on a summer roller hockey league now, although it's getting so expensive I'm thinking about quitting. The only reason I still do it is that it keeps me in shape.

Merged with the really-easy-to-find other Does-anyone-here-play-hockey thread we have here.

lol

So superberkut, which hockey do you play? Field hockey or roller hockey or ice hockey? I'm playing field hockey by the way. I am also a keeper as well. :D So I play as a keeper for my school, and in a few months time, there will be a hockey tournament which I will represent my school. 👍
