Anybody in here play hockey?

I play some pick up roller hockey. I'll play goalie when we use a hackey sack or some nicely weighted foam ball. If it shoots well, rolls well and you don't feel like you just got shot when it hits you, we use it. Me and my friends play without pads, so we don't want to completely kill each other. Full checking though. I need to find an actual rink round here.​

And, Muzaffar Musa, I play ice hockey, as a goalie. Bandy just doesn't cut it for me.

'Mini sticks' and street hockey though are also quite popular here.

I'm really enjoying hockey these days. I'm not in a league, but there is "pick-up" every week and it's been the same people most of the time.

My squad is in the playoffs, and we advanced past the first round. I picked up a shutout and I have a goals-against average of 1.00 (playoffs, overall is 2.22) so far. Can't get enough of this sport...

Next team came from another tier (from tier 2 to 1), but they are rather good from what I hear.

Wow, probably one of the first threads that I ever made here.

Five years later, and unfortunetely I don't play competitive hockey any more. I played all through high school, but never played in any leagues besides summer leagues since then. Enjoy your high school hockey days while you can, it's not the same once you're out of the competitive leagues, summer leagues just don't cut it for me.

They didn't have a high school hockey team when I was going to HS...

I did however play for another HS even though most of us didn't actually go there and I was already graduated from HS too.
