Anyone downloaded the DLC on 360 (3rd of december for PS3)

I plan on downloading tonight after work, I still have not tried Shift since the patch was released. I am looking forward to the Mustang but I am not getting my hopes up about the driving experience just yet.

Pez2k ran the unpacker over the new patch files and put together a list of changes at nogrip. From what I have seen all 3 platforms essentially use the same data files.

Some changes to dusk lighting, more grip for several types of cars, some engines and upgrade paths changed, some default tuning values changed, some big changes in differential ratios for AWD cars are the main things of note that I saw. Also for some reason a lot of changes in physics files for the unused, model-less ferraris.

Really like the the Supra, not to rag on GT but i enjoy the NFS shift much more than the GT iteration.

I already downloaded it, and there isn't much improvement regarding the AI or the physics. Still works like 🤬. I liked the new cars but the way you get them seems a tad rushed by the developers, as soon as you dowload the patch you get them for your garage, but you can'sell them nor they appear on the car-lot.

PS: If any CLEAN driver from GTP wants to race, feel free to add me :sly:.

At least on the 360, there is a distinctive change in the AI behaviour: while once in a while they still pile up in front of corners and have a go occasionally at you, for the better part they try to stay clear of you if they can.

They can put up a good challenge in stock cars and it's quite fun to chase the leader of the pack.

Car handling has also been tweaked dramatically - AWD don't do that sling around thing anymore (ruined the Evo X for me), there's a good measure of super-glue to RWDs (makes the McLaren F1 so much easier to drive, while others have became a bit boring), under-steer vs. snap over-steer in the GT2 Porsche is both less dramatic yet much more fun.

The Supra is superb, interior of the Muscle cars is quite nice, too.

Really sorry you still don't like the game, it can be a lot of fun if one is able to adjust to the general feel.

I haven't tried all the cars but I really like the 67 Vette. These new cars almost bring back my interest back.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with it :indiff:. The frustrating AI that ruins the races is still my main problem with it, if theres something I hate more than mistakes are mistakes not caused by me .

I have to admit, bumper-to-bumper side-by-side racing is next to impossible, but if you take it easy and not too competitive, it's still fun.

A bit break-neck and over the top at times, but at least the AI doesn't feel like moving obstacles you take down because you know they'll mess turn xyz up.

So, just try to settle for some fun, light-harted racing. Racing is rubbing after all ;) Being pushed off the track in longer quick-play races is a bit annoying, but catching up with the pack is even more challenging and enjoyable.

I wish we had car sounds like that in GT5, the muscle cars just sound awesome but they don't feel like a muscle car to me, big, heavy and floaty suspension but fun nonethess. I should try the team derby oh excuse me racing.

I pulled out my Chair last night to give the 67 shelby and Terlingua a spin at Laguna Seca. I really enjoyed the 67 Shelby, The engine sounds superb expecially the gurgling of the dual exhaust! I had my Buttkicker attached and I could feel all the exhaust notes:sly: It was really alot of fun throwing the car around the turns, punching the gas and breaking the rear end loose. Kinda reminds me of my High School days when I had my '67 Mustang coupe:tup:

If you like the sounds of the new muscle cars, you need to take them into the tunnels at tokyo and ambush canyon and put your foot down :)

I've had no problem with the muscle cars in my garage, they are there for quick race, career mode and on-line. I don't know why they are not there for everyone.
