I love getting starting with almost nothing and having to really work to get more mods and cars. I don't know about you guys but if I get pre-order bonus money I don't activate it.. You?
Yes starting from scratch is my favorite part of the GT series. I start EVERY game from scratch. I like to earn my cars and upgrades.I love getting starting with almost nothing and having to really work to get more mods and cars. You?
This is where I would say, "Hey, what do I do now? I have completed every event, but I do not have enough money!"
The answer would clearly be to repeat races. This is what I do not like.
It was fun in GT1, 2 & 4. GT3 was rough. GT5P was killing me. GT5 just gave the wrong prize cars. GT6 GT MODE? I'm hoping to buy all Fully rendered (ex-Premium) Mercedes-Benz AMG cars. So, should be interesting to see how long it takes me.
Yep, those first races with your first car are the best in the GT-mode.
That's why I want a separate "career" mode where it's like that all the time. I'd hope you'd be able to pick which car, which race series and have several on the go at once, with the cash being taken from a separate pot to your main funds, and restricted. Ideally, the absolute imperative to win should disappear, so that you don't want to "overtune", and you're content to work your way up to winning instead, by mastering the car and the races, not "cheating".
Since it's separate, it doesn't affect anyone's desire to "make money" (hint: it's not real), nor to just get stuck in with all the different cars - in fact, I think there should be a sandbox mode too: everything for free if you want it.
The progression should mean something, not simply be a way to gate content - there's so much of it now, it's simply not necessary.
