I'm trying to find a decently priced way to use my playseat with triple monitors and someone showed me this http://shop.sim-seats.com/Standalone-Monitor-Mount-SS-10-SAMM.htm I don't know anything about sim-seats products so I'm wondering if this deal seems to good to be true. 240$ shipped for a stand alone triple screen mounting system seems like an awesome deal and would save me at least 500$ depending on what else I went with if I don't buy this.

So the questions is what do you guys think?

I recently got the Sim-Seats triple monitor stand. I am very pleased with the purchase. The price was $219.39, delivered! It is rock stable and I do not have any major complaints. I’m using the stand with three Acer S231HL 23” monitors. Before I ordered, I was concerned about how stable it would be. I was pleasantly surprised after I got it set up. The monitor stand legs have very long feet that make it quite stable. My monitors are only about 7.5 pounds each. The stand is height adjustable and works well with my R-Seat Evo rig. The Playseat’s dimensions are similar to that of the R-Seat, so you’ll be able to get the stand very close to your wheel if you want.

The paint finish and welds on the stand are not perfect, but for the price, I have no major complaints.

I had only three issues arise while setting up the stand. First, the center mount blocked the DVI port on my monitor, but fortunately, I could still access the monitor’s HDMI port. I got an HDMI-to-DVI cable and it works perfectly with the other two monitors using DVI-to-DVI connections. Second, the VESA mounting plates for the side monitors are offset so that the attaching bolt does not sit in the center of the mounting plate. The instructions indicate the offset helps accommodate sag from large/heavy monitors. However, the offset means you need to have both of the side mounting plates oriented the same way; otherwise, one side monitor will sit higher than the other. Initially I did not have the side mounting plates oriented the same, and could not get the monitors aligned to my liking. I finally realized that I did not have both of the side monitor mounting plates oriented the same. I made that change and got the monitors more to my liking. I still need to tweak them some more, but I’ve had so many other sim related things to work on that I have not gotten around to it. Third, the stand comes with screws to mount the monitors to the VESA mounting plates. I had to get some plastic tubular spacers from a hardware store to serve as a washer to take up about a ¼” space between the mounting plates and the monitors.

Prior to purchasing the triple monitor stand, I purchased a Sim-Seats button box mount and have been very pleased with it as well.

The one thing that worries me a little is that I am wanting to be able to get my center monitor right behind my wheel and try and get my sides back as close as I can to surrounding me. How the center bar is and the center monitor raised it looks like the center bar will hit the back the wheels case and not let me get it as close to me as I am wanting to. The other is I am afraid that the reinforcement supports for the front of the legs is going to hit my shifter mount.

I asked them to lower the monitor on those 2 bars it mounts on so that it is lower then the middle support bar, and to try and bring the center monitor out some so I can bring it farther forward away from the frame of the stand.

Yours looks good though. I'm just wanting to get my center screen so that it sits about 2 inches or so behind the actual wheel and try to bring all the screens back about a foot closer then you have yours.

They are going to start building mine next week. Can you think of anything you wish they would have done different that I might want to request on mine?

And thanks for the info and pictures. I'm really surprised I hadn't heard of them before now. It seems like the make some pretty decent stuff and at a really reasonable price.

No, I can't think of anything I would have done differently. My center screen is 4.5" away from the back of my wheel. I could get it a little closer if I moved my 4th screen, but not too much closer because the bottom of the right support is very close to my shifter mount.

I'm very pleased with the purchase. The money I saved went to other sim racing stuff.

What seat are you using this with? I seen you said the bottom right support would hit your shifter if you moved it closer. It looks like your shifter is almost in the same spot as mine on my playseat. I asked them to adjust the brace, so he said he would use shorter 45s there so that should give me a little more room for my shifter. With the other adjustments of the center monitor being brought out some away from the frame a little and it being dropped down some on those center 2 bars I should be able to get it as close as I want to my wheel.
They should just about have it done now, so I should get it early next week. It sucks having my triples setup and not having a way to play the racing games with it. I've just been trying to kill time with them playing BF3 and a few other games, but you can tell that racing and flying games will really be where the most benefit comes form the triples.

I have my stand now from sim seats and it's all setup. I had them do a few altercations compared to the other one on here, so that I could pull the screens right up against my wheel if I want to. Here's a quick picture I took with my phone. Not the greatest pic but it shows how easily it fits over the playseat. This is really a great solution for the playseat and really any other type of seat made. ForI think 230$ shipped you can't beat it except for DIY.
I would give the stand a 9 and my cable management a 3. It was kind of hard to get the monitors lined up just right, but I imagine just about any stand that gives you the options this one does would be difficult to get just right.

Nimzovich - Can you show how you mounted their button box to your rSeat? I have an rSeat RS Evo V3 and also ordered that mount.

I just placed my order for the triple monitor stand and asked them to lower the screen mounts so that the bottoms of my 24" monitors are flush or slightly below the crossbar. This way, if needed I can get it right behind my wheel. I also asked them to widen it by 2" so I don't have any issues with clearance to my shifter.

Can't wait to see how it works. I'm hoping it is worth it.

I had them do the same thing with my center screen mount and they got it about perfect. It will sit right up to my wheel. I also had them shorten the 45 supports so that they wouldn't hit my shifter. If they wouldn't have done that it would have probably of hit my shifter mount on the playseat and would have prevented me from getting it as close to me as I wanted. Not sure about your setup by you might want to mention the 45s being shorter to them if you think they will be a problem.
Another thing I ended up doing was to take some velcro to the back of the monitors to pull them together perfect. This stand is kind of hard to get everything lined up just right without help, but after you get it right it works great. I have no complaints at all, and considering the price it's a really great deal on a triple stand.

I drilled a hole through the R-Seat's upper support arm frame. I only drilled through the top layer of the frame and then attached the bolt from the inside of the frame. I had to remove the frame’s end cap to stick a wrench inside the frame to hold the bolt while I tightened from the top. Drilling through the entire support arm frame would be much easier.
