Anyone having issues with GT DD Pro and GT7?

That's because some of them are not rumble strips. They're just painted smooth concrete. That's why in Britain they're called "kerbs" and in Argentina they're called "pianitos" (little pianos because of the way they are painted). Not all of them are sculpted to make "rumble".
I didn't know this. I don't have enough time in the game to have tried the tracks I'm familiar with but I could have sworn this was a bug

I've been paying more attention to this and you're right, there are some rumble strips that vibrate and others that don't, even on the same track.

In game Torque 6, sensitivity 1
Sen auto
FF 100
FFS peak
NDP off
Nfr off
Nin off
Int off
FEI 100
For 100
Spr 100
Dpr 100
BRF Max (CSL Load Cell Kit)
GT DD Pro with the Boost Kit
I have 50 cars in the garage and I have driven most of them.
How do you find the ffb on those settings? I will give them a go but they loo pretty much default?

Thanks mate for clearing that up about the rumble strips .

Interesting settings they recommend.
Im on the CSL elite and both GTS and 7 always ran the in game set to 10 10 and adjusted the wheel accordingly.
The game does feel a little funny to me on auto sensitivity though, i think the rotation is either slower or larger so counter steer in more difficult.

Ok testing. What do you fellow DD pro'ers make of this?

Torque 3, sensitivity 3
Sen auto
FF 100
FFS peak
NDP 60
Nfr off
Nin off
Int 12
FEI 100
For 120
Spr 100
Dpr 100
Bli off
Sho 100

Ndp seems to directly affect front tyre lateral slide - the old GTS limit of grip grinding. Increasing this value softens it.

Int wants to be higher than 10

Still no sensation over kerbs but the inside front wheel seems to get some when unloaded.
Hi, Sorry question but where do you change all these other settings? my wheel on the GTDDPro only has A set, C set, NAT DAP, FFB, SEN. am i missing something?

Also how can i center calibrate it? The manual said you need to be in the CAL mode but i dont see it either. Thank you.

You need to activate Advanced Tuning by holding on the tuning button for four seconds.

Enter the tuning menu and then hold down R2 + X.

This is all in the manual. Click on the Downloads tab: https://fanatec.com/us-en/racing-wheels-wheel-bases/racing-wheels/gran-turismo-dd-pro-5-nm

EDIT: I see you were specifically asking about the CAL mode. There isn't really a CAL mode. It's more of a warning when the wheel needs calibration. If you don't see it, you're good to go. /EDIT

Thank you Pfei!

My problem is that 3x now my Fanatec wheel will stop responding to any inputs in-game. It's happened twice during races and once at the menu screen. I've updated the firmware for all my Fanatec gear. It also does with with my Porsche GT3 Rim/Button Module Endurance and the DD Pro wheel rim. Anyone else having this issue? I have to turn the wheelbase off and then on again.

I've been racing ACC on PC for well over a year now and no issues like this. This reminds me of that bug with the T300 where it would pause mid-race.

Hey, did your no sensation over kerbs get resolved.

Setup new GT DD Pro, no sensation over kerbs specifically, or even cobblestones. Tested on the Nordschleife so they’re definitely big kerbs

Only some. Big kerbs. The kerbs at nurburg GP I can sort of feel and only kerbs on the unloaded inside wheel (apexes not exits), but basically, no! I think it's the game tbh. They're simply not feeding it back like GTS.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Yep same as you, faint feeling of the apex, and nothing on the outside kerbs at all.

Had a controller for GTS so didn't have a baseline, I'm actually downloading it now again to see how it is supposed to feel.

Thanks again

I want to confirm the same issues here. The feedback on gt7 is surprisingly much worse than GT sport and I can’t feel any kurbs. It’s disappointing given that the DD pro was designed for GT7

Isn't that the game though not the wheel? Are T300 and G29 users getting kerb ffb?

Same issue here. I just cannot get a natural feel no matter what settings I try. The car either feels like it’s hovering in mid air especially at high speeds.

Most frustrating thing for me at the moment is it’s virtually impossible to control oversteer. Any slip and any small correctional countersteer and the car just shoots to the other side.

I am using the 8Nm booster kit on my GT DD Pro and I don't have any issues with the ffb, the only problem for me is the snap oversteer on RWD cars.

On my GT DD Pro that buzzing or a sandy feel I felt it in my hands when holding the wheel, so I fix it for now but if it happens again I will contact Fanatec Support.

Hello, how did you fix the sandy feel in the wheel while in your hand ? I have this on F1 2021 since Monday and the 1.18 update .. the GT DD pro is only one week old.. can you help me please ?

All I did was change my USB cable from the back of the PS5 to the front of the PS5 and it went away, this is the truth about the sandy feel in the wheel. I have not had the sany feel for well over 2 months now, but if it returns I send it back for another one.

Mmhhh I got this sandy feel only in F1.. GT7 is perfect.
When I'm on PlayStation menu the wheel is normal .. when I open F1 the wheel become heavy with a strange sand feel in the hand and a little late to follow the movement like I'm Understeering.. and I feel that during racing and it's very annoying.. ruining my experience on F1. Tried to change mode.. blue purple.. the USB on PS4 right to left etc.. nothing changed.. cancelled the game.. reinstalled etc
Nothing changed on F1.. it's since the 1.18 upload on Monday everything changed... Very sad..

If it's a sandy feel for F1 and it is perfect for GT7, you would think its a game issue.
Have a talk to Fanatec and see what they say.
