My Ps3 is hooked up to W/less internet & over last week I have been finding it hard to sign in . I can use the browser & search to access the Internet , but not easy to sign in . :grumpy: Is any one else having a problem ?

Cheers Ozi

yeah ive been having problems. yesterday i was able to sign into the psn but gran turismo gave me an error, today i was able to sign in and get on gran turismo, but i had to manually sign into the psn. these are annoying, and i'm assuming Anon attacks so its safe to assume sony knows and is trying to fix them.

This is a PSN question, but regardless...
Manually input DNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

You should be good after that.

I also have the issues during the weekend. I cannot download the upgrade at all (always getting error message). Hope Sony/PD aware of this problem and fix them soon.

It's been odd.

I'm not having problems logging into the PSN.
I'm not having problems logging into the GT5 servers in-game.
However, I'm having problems staying logged on.

Anytime I leave my PS3 running on its own while doing the "B-Spec Grind", when I go back to the GT Life main menu, I end up logged out, getting some awkward/crazy error message about not being logged on and something about "2:0".

I can turn my PS3 off, wait a couple of minutes then turn it back on.
I have to manually log back into the PSN, but I get in every time without issues.
Once I start GR5 back up, I'm back on the in-game GT5 servers - until I give it a reason to kick me out.

Like I said, it's been odd.
It's also been real 🤬 annoying.
(At least I can hopefully forget this annoyance in the joy that is my brand-spanking new Muira!)

Peace...

Well, now all of a sudden I can't get onto the GT5 servers at all. :grumpy:
(At least this started right after I finished up a trade. Now, if I can just get the ticket to pull the car I want without having to reload my game data saved on a USB drive a few dozen times for that to happen...)

Here the past couple days (maybe a tad longer) I've been noticing that every time I boot up my PS3 it never connects right away. I always have to retry, but it always connects on the retry.

Will try this thanks .

Looks a bit tricky for me to try .

I have problems signing in too. I disable the connection via network settings and then enable again. Then there are no problems and I can connect to GT5 servers fine too.

This isn't connected to the hacker attacks to PSN?

I'm in Scandinavia, and I've been able to log in time to time.
But I'm also having problems staying logged on.

Here's how I sign into PSN when these problems are around. This simple method never fails for me, unless PSN is actually truely down.

When I sign in, after about 20 seconds (which is longer than it should take to normally sign in), I get the error code 80710092. If you don't get this then this method might not work.

After getting this error code, press circle (return) and press x to sign in again. After around 8 seconds (the normal approximate time it takes to sign in), press circle to cancel the sign in. Quickly press x again to sign in and immediately you should get a different error code this time, 80710B20*. This is a good thing.

Press circle again, x to sign in, and you should sign in as normal.

It works for me, anyway. 👍

*Note: If you don't get this error code straight away, you should try cancelling the sign in again after around 6-10 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't work for me straight away either, but it never takes more than 2 or 3 goes.

I switched to using Open DNS a long time ago, apart from recently when the script kiddies were buggering up PSN have had no problems.

Same here, very odd. I am on a wired connection and never had an issue before.

I had an issue for the first time last night, about 20 minutes after the OP. I fiddled with DNS settings and my router for about a half-hour and then it just started working again. The weird thing is that everyone in my lobby kept racing without any issues. I thought it might have been Comcast messing with my connection but I had blazing fast speeds from my PC and my iPad was working fine over the WiFi.

Mine had not been behaving normally. Log's itself out regularly. Most times on startup it requires me to manually sign in to PSN. I have gotten the error 2.0 message once or twice as well. Until 7-10 days ago I had none of these issues.

Logging out during B psec races then when i log in i have the titles but not the cars won cant backup my game save incase i loose the tickets i have saved. PSN is really bad lately.

Yep, I've been having these problems also. Unable to sign in to PSN, then half the time I can I get that stupid ID 2.0 message which during GT life stops you for ages every time you do anything while it searches for a server, not to mention grounds any online gameplay.
I hope they find the SOB's responsible and nail them to the wall. I'm assuming of course that this has something to do with those childish hackers because my connection is normally rock solid.
