I am, kind of... the release day on Friday and all of the following week. I have a whole bunch of vacation days left I have to use before the end of the year, so, I thought I might as well schedule some to coincide with the release of GT6. I'm not GT6-obsessed, so it's not like I'll be spending 16 hours a day playing the game, but I suppose I'll have that option if I really felt like it :dopey:

That would be no.............

Not gonna cancel my trip to Thailand in January to play a game................:sly:

But looking at my work schedule, I do have 5 days off when it comes out:dopey:

Voted no, but may extend my weekend and take release day off to get the license test and first couple amateur modes completed.

Well I certainly wouldn't advocate anyone skip work if you're not going to get paid (I certainly wouldn't), but for those who have the extra paid vacation days available... I guess I'm in the minority.

I'd feel too guilty to take a day off since the office will be going into meltdown before the year finishes. I'll be playing it non-stop for the entire weekend though. I honestly wasn't too excited about GT6 (after my disappointment of GT5), but as the release date nears, I'm getting kinda hyped.

Not taking any time off but I will at least try to rent this. If its good enough then I will consider the purchase. I still have plenty to do in GT5 and all the other games I am backlogged in.

Seeing how Im part owner of a landscaping company we dont have much to do in the winter apart from plow snow... so Id call that a decent vacation to play gt6

Being self employed I do have some control over my schedule but never as much as I'd like. I will try to book that weekend off...but I'm really gonna be pi$$ed if there is a major glitch in the servers or something to do with the online portion of the game:yuck::grumpy::mad::banghead:

No, I don't see taking time off from work just for GT, but I very rarely do for any game anyway. And, to be honest, I'm not sure if I will even get around to picking it up in the first place. It's not that I have no interest in GT6, but the next-gen consoles are just a month away and I already bought FM5.

No. While I do have to work the day the game comes out, I'll have the entire weekend off to play GT6.

No for me too. I booked a week off for GT5 only to have it released the week after!!?? I've learned my lesson with some games, dates are misleading. But no, it's not worth it for me, Christmas is a few weeks away and I have 2.5 weeks off so I won't need "launch" time to play.

BTW, GT isn't a game I play to "beat" so I can take my time and play when I want - It's my "pick-up-and-play" game.

EDIT: I got my PS4 pre-ordered so GT6 better be one helluva game for me to stay.

Nope. I'm not working till the afternoon on release day, so should be able to get a few hours in before heading off to work.

Nope - and I doubt it'll have a midnight release here either (GT5 didn't). That said, I'm done work at 2 on Fridays anyways, so if I am getting it, I'll miss out on slightly over 4 hours versus those who wait outside the doors.

Assuming I get it, it will be there when I get home. GTA V had a midnight launch and massive amounts of hype with all of my friends playing it and asking me how I liked it, and the Gamestop I preordered it from was literally 50 yards from my job, and I still didn't play it for a nearly a week after I picked it up the next day during lunch.

GT6 really doesn't have any of those things, so...

Taking the day off. I work right through Christmas and the New Year so I don't feel guilty having 1 day off even though its our busiest month of the year, and the office will cope for 1 day with out me there. Took GT5 launch day off as well, so might as well keep the tradition up :)

No. It's gunna be hard to pay attention at school :ill:.
I'm really happy it's gunna be released on a Friday though.

My schedule is flexible but, I do travel a lot. While I won't be taking time off specifically for GT, I'll be squeezing in some GT time. If GT6 is anything like GT1-4 I'll have to feed my GT addiction. :) It just keeps calling me. Lol

No. Why would I miss work and lose much-needed income to play one video game?

Off on the Friday and the following week is my b'day so I have a few days off for that so no doubt I'll be putting a decent amount of hours into ASpec :)

Taking days off to play a game? I'm sorry that is completely ridiculous.:odd:

Make sure you don't enjoy yourself too much. Order an extra round of self-flagellation and settle back to mock the peasants for daring to have a good time.

What's it to you how people spend their spare time? Care to share your hobbies with us so that we can mock them for being a ridiculous waste of time?

I work Flexi hours so I will be finishing early afternoon to start playing.

The mail doesn't arrive here until midday anyway.

I was a bit 'meh' about GT6 until I heard about the new physics model and the GPS course designer, but now I am looking forward to it almost as much as the GT3 release...

True, but if you have paid vacation and Flexi time like we do here in Europe, it isn't a problem.

Unless you are self employed of course. :)
