April Fools 2025 Megathread

[Carpocalypse]

I'm not sure if making a megathread is something I can do, nor if Rumble Strip is correct. Regardless, I can't seem to find any april fools megathreads, so I decided to put one together.

As with all april fools day announcements, assume they are all not true.

Cars​

BMW has released an article detailing several of their april fools pranks that ended up becoming actual features. Link
In addition, BMW has announced the M2 Dakar. Link (In german)
Honda has announced seats for all their cars coated with Catnip, which they claim will "Reduce scratching, hissing and bulky pet cages". Link

Games​

Player Unknown Battlegrounds Publisher Krafton has released a dating sim where you date the weapons of PUBG - A sidenote, it appears that the game does use Gen AI, so if that's not your thing, maybe look away? Link
Sega's joke is Sonic Racing: CrossWords, a play on their upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds game. Link
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing - Considered to be one of the worst racing games of all time, has also appeared onto Steam. Link
Dave The Diver is recieving a remaster - In 2049. Link
The racing strategy game Top Drives will apparently be adding four previous april fools day cars to the game, including the Fiat Panda Hawaii Edition, Vauxhall Adam C, Škoda Fabia RS 2000 and Porsche 911 Patina Paint to Sample.

Stellantis and Leapmotor have revealed their "Leap Mat Charger", which allows users to easily recharge their Leapmotor by exercising. link
Volkswagen will offer a free tattoo on the purchase of a new Volkswagen. Link
Skoda unveils their ŠkodAlert for the Elroq and Enyaq models. ŠkodAlert allows drivers to display messages on their car's front end. Link
Autoglym, who produce car care and valeting products, have announced their self-care line, intended for use on humans, includes Leather Care Face Balm, Cologne, Polar Wash Shower Gel, and Bodywork Shampoo and Conditioner (for hair). link
