By any chance am I getting onto thin ice for saying it's okay to use 'textspeak' if we are joking about?

No.

Although, it isn't really ok. If we made concessions for people to use text speak when "joking around", it would be very difficult to control. banning text speak altogether cleans up the forum quite a bit, and makes everyone's posts easier to understand.

Some of us are old men (j/k I'm only 31) and have a hard time figuring out what a lot of it means. Others are from foreign countries and have the same problem due to the language barrier.

Yup got it. Then again truely my first language isn't English. It's Urdu. Then English. Studying French & German in School and I can read Arabic but have no idea what it means..

Since he banned Remi, he can't let us do the same thing that Remi was doing even if it was to a much smaller extent. Otherwise, that would be very hypocritical.

I agree with that rule if it controls people going into every thread and saying the usual text speak but can I just clarify it is Not allowed in your team thread aswell?

Not complaining just wanting us all to tale a role of mini mod in our own thread to prevent us being banned etc.

The team thread is part of this site. Therefore all the rules and regulations laid out in the AUP apply here as well.

No idea what to say but my favourite line from Uncharted 2 "Karma's a Bitch". Then again that line is like my whole life...
Also makes me think what Remi is thinking right now.. The line fits in perfectly.

Well if we trace back to when this tremor started it was when Topban asked to join the team. I would love to carry on this sort of communication because it shows what a social freindly team we are. It'll also attract more members

xD Same here. How about a Team Competitions with Ranking in points to determine the best drifter?? Like 1 person drifts and people judge. It may be hard to organise but I though it may be a good idea.

One thing that seemed to work on Forza was weekly practices. We had practice twice a week where everyone would drift together for an hour or two. We played drifting games such as Limbo and King of the Hill. It was pretty fun!
