In GT5 and now in GT6 there is a lot of justified complaining about the quality of online racing in Open Lobbies. The Worst You've Dealt With Online thread in GT5 was huge and probably will be in GT6 as well. I was really hoping that GT6 would bring some kind of mechanism into the game for evaluating hosts, much like the "likes" you see on Youtube, simple but effective. Seeing as how PD won't do that for us, we're going to have to take it upon ourselves to identify really good hosts so their rooms can be fuller and more popular and so we can all have a better racing experience.
1. This is not a place to b*tch about bad hosts. We don't name names for that stuff on GTP anyway so it would be pointless.
2. This is for circuit and oval racing hosts only. Drag, drift, cruise or other kinds of hosts you can rave about in another thread.
3. This is for hosts in Open Lobbies, not from Race Series or Clubs and Leagues, as we can safely assume most of them are good hosts.
4. Good hosts should have ample amounts of the following qualities/attributes.
a. Swift and decisive in dealing with malcontents.
b. Keeps the pace rolling with consistent race starts.
c. Maintains the stated theme of the room.
d. Listens and responds to feedback as needed.
e. Does not use nor allow foul, abusive, racist etc. language in the room.
f. Demands clean and courteous driving and does his/her best to enforce it.
Hosts that receive numerous recommendations will be placed in the OP here so that anyone looking online for a good host in an Open Lobby can come to this thread and make a list to reference from when searching online.
So let's hear about your good online hosts from GT6 and if you feel like it, tell us what makes them a good host. If you know of a good host from GT5 that is also planning on hosting in GT6, by all means mention them as well. Let's build up a database here to help improve the GT6 online racing experience!
