simple as that... if yes why?? if not why??

my answer is NO. Because we shouldn't be paying for something that had to be in the released version and too expensive!

Probably no, not yet anyway.

Having had Ferrari Challenge since day one and been severly underwhelmed by all of the problems that it was released with, I feel that System 3 owe us at least the first DLC for free -by way of apology- it's a shame because this could have been such a great game and could have dragged me away from Forza2 but now with RACE Pro on the way I have a feeling that my attention will be firmly back on my XBox and that game. Until Forza3 or Ferrari Project (whichever comes first) is released.

I really want FC to succeed as IMO it's the only racing game that's worth having on the PS3 but with the Sims available now and very soon on the 360 I just don't think FC can compete and I wont be buying any DLC for it until I can be absolutely sure that the game has been fixed properly and the DLC is bug free.

I have a feeling that the special suprise DLC will be A1GP, which is something I've been hoping for since the series started, and with A1GP going all Ferrari this season and the advertising hordings on the edge of Turn 9 at Mugello in the game giving a big hint as my evidence, I may wait for that before I decide to spend any more money on this game.

i will not buy dl because i can not buy it here in croatia. but since i like this game and patch is on it's way i,if i could, would buy future downloads.

@Zedux

Please don't double post, if you have to add something to one of your posts and no one else has posted after you, then use the edit button to add the further details.

I've merged the two posts together in this case, but please do be more careful in future.

Thanks

I managed to get the game 25 dollars cheaper than it would have costed me normally so I guess I have 25 dollars to spend on DLC.

Regardless I would probably pay for DLC but only ones in which have stuff I would consider worth getting and if they are a low enough price.

No, because they could have had all the Ferrari's in game and clearly have held huge numbers back so they could drip feed you them via DLC building to a full collection of "all the Ferraris ever" as they said.

.....by which point you will have spend probably triple the cost of the game which itself is already steep!

Plus I don't own it... :sly:

Offcourse not gonna buy it, since i (we) have been scammed by the makers already. Paying full price for a game that is not complete and 'lies' about the content from the package. So i will never buy content for this 'game'...

Probably not.
This is an awfully shallow game for $60, there is less content than GT5P & that was a $40 game.
IMO DLC should not be things that was ready at the games release (the Enzo? hello!) & held back, it should be things that were worked on after the release.
Give me the full Nürburgring, The old 14 mile Spa & Monza with the banking & I might consider it.
Trying to sell me cars that should have been in a $60 game at launch is just insulting!

Not sure if ill buy any.

I kinda put the game on hold for a while waiting to see how things turn out after patch 2.0. I dont want to unlock everything, and then have to do it agin to get the trophyes. So now I just wait and enjoy some of my other games.

At first when I got this game i was very exited about it, and still kinda is as the handling is really good, but all the other isues with the game made me a litle agry.
However i desided to go back to zero, so if the patch will deliver, what I ecspect I may buy some DLC, depends on price, and what we get. I would defenetly buy the full Nurbungring, but it was already stated we wont get that so thats kinda out of the question.

Yes if theres something on it I want but I think this could fragment an already small online comunity. hasn't this topic been done before in the main thread and it's own dedicated thread?

It would be better if they released four tracks and five or six cars in each download. That way they could create a new offline competition with each download.

No, absolutely not.

  • I don't have a credit card, so I'm not able to pay for DLC even if I want to.
  • I personally think DLC is/are a ripp off. You pay (here) € 65 for the full game (which isn't a full game apparently if they add content through downloads).
  • The DLC's are too expensive. You can have mods for free on the pc, why do we have to pay if it is on the ps3?
... and I don't have FC. From what I read on this fourm, reviews and after playing it for a while, it's not worth €65.

OK and your replying to this thread because? :odd:

your saying FC is a ripoff for DLC?
then in your ripoff you best include warhawk,cod4,army of two, grid getting soon , etc.
its not a incomplete game ,most games are getting addons/dlc thats the way it goes and people know this when buying the game.
and yes why are you posting here?,you dont own the game ,so it shouldn't bother you.

The question realy is why post in this thread. The question raised was "are you going to buy the FC DLC? if yes why, if no why. Your reply realy should have been, "No, because I don't own the game"........Which really is as useful to the subject as a paper hat in a monsoon. There are those that support DLC and those that don't no matter what the game or the content, it's a large subject and one that can get quite vocal. As with most things the people who feel they are being wronged (those who disagree with DLC) are more "vocal" than those happy with the issue. I think you are going slightly to far in your vocalised disaproval of DLC in general by posting, Your not getting the DLC for "X" reasons......and you don't even own or plan to own the game!
If everyone on this site who didn't own the game and disagreed with DLC of any sort decided to post like yourself this thread would be a complete misrepresentation of the subject. Anyone reading it would be given the false impression that the vast majority of GTp FC players were not getting the DLC.
What I would like to know however is if you bought GT5p...........and how dose that differ from DLC? But thats going off yopic and a question for another time.

I've tried not to give an opinion on the subject of DLC, I'm for it but I'm also for those who disagree with it putting there point accross. I am against people taking every opertunity to make there opinion known when it detracts from the subject.

First of all this game is worth 50 or 60 €, there are great cars and tracks, and driving model is very good. In my opinion it should be even more realistic, but that doesn't mean than i can't have fun, and drive with my friend. regarding mods for PC, i have been playing rfactor for almost 4 year, and have been and still am competing in rfactor leagues, but there are really not that much mods that are great, only few, also goes for tracks, so having mods, doesn't mean that they are good just because they are for free.

if you don't what to play this game, which you even don't own, than don't post here, because it is pointless.
