ARL Endurance Cup - Friday Night Multi-Class Racing

@llNovall

So far, we have at least one open spot in a Lexus GT3, though if someone new wants to run full time they would get that.

There is also an Audi LMP driver that is out, so you're welcome to that for just this round.

We have a few tentatives, so the available car list may further open up.

Good Morning ARL... it's race day!!!

Tonight, we will be competing against the one entity in which we can never truly win. No set distance... we'll be fighting Time itself. 60 minutes of Laguna Seca!!

Moby45 will be your host, and will have the final lobby open no later than 9:40pm EST. As always, keep an eye out for practice lobbies beforehand.

Last round, in the top class, Audi went flag to flag and took maximum points. In GT3, while one of the Lexii took the pole, it was Tokyo Dave and the Porsche sailing into the distance. The man earned the name for a reason!!

This week though, we go round and round the mountains of Monterrey. Tight lanes, tight turns, and a three story drop that's guaranteed to be a butt-clencher for both classes. Who needs 6th gear anyways??

On a personal note, I'd like to apologize on behalf of the BoD. Round 1, we sent you to Japan, Round 2 to the US, Round 3 back to Japan and now back to the States for Round 4. We really could do better... your shipping fees must be exorbitant!!!

So strap in, hold on, and choose your fuel loads wisely!! Will the Minoltas take off like rockets? Or will the smooth handling of the 919H be the preferred setup? Is it time for Mercedes stability to reign supreme, or is a well balanced Taco Beamer the way to go? Who will hit the kitty litter first? Who is the best at falling downhill? And finally, with the shipping budget being so harsh, will there be enough money left in the DrSpyderPiggie bank to purchase fuel?

Find out the answer to these questions and more, tonight.... at Round 4 of the ARL Endurance Cup!!

See you on track!!

Good Morning ARL... it's race day!!!

Tonight, we'll be completing 45 laps of Monza. I will be your host and will have the final lobby open no later than 9:40EST. As always, keep an eye out for practice lobbies beforehand.

Last round, we chased a clock, we circled a mountain, we claimed the checkered flag at the last round in the States. Toyota overcame some mid-race setbacks to take the top step in a tight LMP battle. BMW established some dominance in GT3 finally, taking the victory on speed and strategy.

This round, we roll into Italy with 250kms staring us in the face. You know what 250kms means... DOUBLE POINTS!!! Long straights and tight chicanes should lead to plenty of drafting, lots of traffic, and many on-the-fly, race-changing decisions. Please take care in the chicanes, especially across classes ... we have a lot of track to cover!!

Also note the loooong pit exit on this course. Please do not cross the line... this is an extreme high speed braking zone, and the cars already on track will have priority.

While the current point standings are close, there are a few gaps. However, that's something that DOUBLE POINTS can certainly solve. This is the last 'full ballast' race, so take advantage where you can!!

Who can ride the draft the longest and safest? Will anyone plow through the first chicane? Who will be celebrating with Spaghetti Bolognese, and who will have franks and beans? Can anyone put down a perfect 44 points? What lap will we hear DrSpyderPig say, "I may be a little short on fuel..."?

Find out the answers to these questions and more... at Round 5 of the ARL Endurance Cup!!

Ci vediamo in pista!!!

@scarecrow937
What's the chances that a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR is open for tonight's race at Monza? And if not, are there any GT3 class entries open for tonight. I should be available and able to race but want to have a minute to get a livery together and get some laps in before race time.
Next question, are points scored counted toward the driver and team being raced for?

Good Morning ARL... it's race day!!!

Tonight, we will be completing 30 laps of Sainte Croix B II for a total of around 200kms. Moby45 will be your host, and will have the final lobby open no later than 9:40pm EST. As is the norm, keep an eye out for practice lobbies beforehand.

Last round, LMP had it's closest battle ever, with most of the class finishing within just a few seconds of each other. GT3 had a race, but I have no clue what happened due to the previous sentence.

This week, we roll into the fake countryside of France. High speeds, rolling hills, and probably a fair amount of wine in the drinking tubes for each car.
LMP has a clear leader in class, however the remainder of the class could not be tighter! GT3 comes into the round with four cars pulling away from the pack, but a lot of options and battles are still on the table for all drivers. Ballast has been calculated, and then cut in half. Please check the ballast tracker for your current spec.

Of note for this race... pay close attention to the pit exit. You should be within the line and therefore on the inside of turn 1 on your exit. This will allow oncoming cars to have a good view of you coming out of the pits. Also, the final turn will not throw a GTSport penalty if cut, but ARL rules for cleanliness always apply... two wheels on the 'track' at all times please.

Who can negotiate the sweeping turns of St. Croix? Will anyone hit the wall? Where are the exit signs for the bridge exit? Will the wide track make the drivers take greater risks? And what strategy will DrSpyderPig use in order to run out of fuel?

Find out the answer to these questions and more...tonight, at Round 6 of the ARL Endurance Cup!!

See you on track!!

Good Morning ARL... it's race day!!!

Tonight, we'll be completing 90 minutes of the world famous Spa - Francorchamps!! I'll be your host and will have the final lobby open no later than 9:40pm Eastern. As always, keep an eye out for practice lobbies beforehand.

Last round, in the LMP class, the tight racing continued. However, the top end nature of St. Croix left the Audis sitting one-two. In GT3, Lexus returned to the top step. Strong showings from the remaining manufacturers have left points tight though.

Toyota sits alone atop the LMP leaderboard, but their job's not done. Two Audis and a Porsche are currently close enough to call each other 'step-bros', and stand ready to scoop up victory.

GT3 still has four cars with their eye on the championship. While the talk around the paddock has been the inevitable battle between Porsche and BMW, let's not forget the quality that Lexus and Mercedes will bring to the table.

On a personal note, I want to thank Moby45 and PAPunk for all their help with this series. And... thank you to each and every driver in this series. Your participation, dedication and ongoing banter have made this an action packed, fun filled, knuckle-biting series. Thank you all!!

Normally, I reserve this last space for the questions we all have crawling around the back of our minds... and to make fun of DrSpyderPig's ongoing fuel woes (whether real or imagined). But let's be honest, only one question matters tonight...

Who is the Endurance Cup Champion?

Find out tonight, at the finale of the inaugural ARLEC season. See you on track!!!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it tonight...though really wanted to get in on the Spa treatment. Date night with the Mrs tonight. Good luck to everyone in contention, and hope to catch you guys on track again soon.

Great season everyone and Congrats on your runs!!

Without further ado, here are your final podiums!

LMP:
1st: Moby45
2nd: Scarecrow937
3rd: RotaryPilot13

GT3:
1st: PaPunk
2nd: Kinetic-X11
3rd: JDMKing

A quick clarification on the GT3 standings. We had three drivers tied with 99 points at the end of the season. So we went to wins, of which Kinetic X11 had the most. Then we went to 2nd place finishes for the remaining two cars since they had the same amount of wins. JDMKing had more 2nd place finishes, so he was placed above the remaining car.

Aw mentioned previously, thank you to PAPunk and Moby45 for their help on this series, and a BIG THANKS to each and every driver for making this series as intense, fun and close as it was. The BoD will be putting the next season together shortly, so PLEASE send us your thoughts and any changes you may want to see. This can be from procedures, to cars and tracks... whatever. We want to hear from you.

Finally, it is official. The Endurance Cup champions will go down in history!! Congrats to Moby45 and PAPunk!! You have earned the right to wear numbers 1 or 0 next season... and the right to be forever called 'Champ'!!
