My apolgies on the struggle with the caution lap last night. I was on chat but had removed my mic since 2 weeks ago my son was being loud and someone complained of an open mic.
I slowed down when i had heard confusion about who was starting where then i heard another person say something about how slow we were going so i sped up to 80 but the rest of the field didnt speed up.. How should something like that be handled in the future?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think last night was an isolated incident. Too many people talking at the same time. Some saying slow down and some saying speed up made it confusing.

In the future slower is always better. Your original pace would have been just fine.

That was me who said something about speeding up. My apologies. Spa being a long track I was mentioning before the caution that we need to be doing roughly 80mph on caution lap until we get to the final sector as Spa is a long track. When we came out of the pits going slower than that I assumed you were not in chat.

So no worries. Our job as BoD could have been more informative before the race pertaining Spa speed limits.

For future references, smaller tracks should have a pace lap at about 60mph-ish and long tracks around 80mph. The leader controls the pace and should keep a quick eye on the track map and adjust accordingly unless otherwise stated to do something else by one of the 3 BoD members(sometimes 4) who are in the race.

@PApunk924 @SydViscus @Nick Cannella and myself are the active BoD members who race on wednesdays so we will generally be the race stewards on the fly also. If any confusion goes on let us know and we can do our part to help. All other voices in the chat will just be other voices when it comes to the caution lap.

Sorry for all the confusion last night man.

One other thing I would like to address. Please be mindful of what position you come out of the pits in. Just because you enter the pits in a certain position does not mean you will exit in the same position.

If there is confusion, please communicate with the driver(s) you exited the pits with so you can sort it out quickly.

I would also recommend leaving comms chatter to a minimum when exiting the pits and toward the end of the caution lap to allow for clear communication between race directors and drivers :cheers:

He's been hanging out with them.ther Canadians too much!!!:lol:
Canadians ‘eh’ dammit.

If you’re going to make fun of us at least get the grammar right.

Sorry guys. I've been a little preoccupied with Gr.3 updates the past few days.

If everyone can please confirm their intentions I would appreciate it.
