I have this car for almost six months now, and in that time I have driven around 12,000 kilometers in it and put in around 1,200 litres of fuel. The car just keeps on impressing me, the handling and amount of grip is simply amazing. 👍
I also experimented with the gadgets a bit more, so I'll keep updating the thread with pictures and information on how I use them. First up is the G-force meter in the Renault Sport Monitor:
The graph on the left shows current G-force, in all four directions. It's not showing anything in this picture, since I shot it while standing still. However, it also shows the maximum amount of G-force you pulled in the current session, in the form of thin white lines. Lateral G-force is measured from around -1.25G to +1.25G, G-force while braking is measured until approximately -1.75G and G-force while on-throttle is measured up to 0.75G.
The graph on the right shows the history of G-force of the current session. Unsurprisingly, since this was done on a public road, most of the dots are near the center.
According to the device, I pulled around 1G while taking a tight right-hander, and 0.75G while going over a roundabout (counter clockwise) and I pulled just under -0.5G while braking and around 0.6G while going full-throttle.
BTW, I have no idea of how accurate the readings on this device actually are. I read that bodyroll and other things influence the accuracy, but anyone have any insight as to how accurate these things are? Is it something in the order of -5%/+5% or -50%/+50%?
