What might make it even better is if you could lower the opacity of each one of the vehicles, except for the one at the very end of the sequence, keep that one fully opaque.
Then take each one of the cars and make them blur into each other following the implied line that the car took through the corner. The blurs inbetween the cars are seperate from the vehicle's image, but is made from it in order to be the correct color. It is also a very low opacity.
Overall, this gives the appearance of seamless movement between each photo in the sequence.
It would be somewhat like taking a continuous shot (camera repetitively takes the set number of photos just by pressing the "photo taking button" on your camera once), but having somewhat of a low shutter to cause motion blur between the shots.
Here is a nice example of the idea.
