Artists you've discovered from playing video games.

I notice that no one has picked Bonnie Tyler: total eclipse from battlefield 4 :)
But seriously I kinda liked how that fitted into the beginning of the game.

Not playing yet, but discovered this artist yesterday after watching the new Dead Stranding trailer. Magnificent music.

Asylums for the feeling feat. Leila Adu - Silent Poets / Album: Dawn

Hollywood Undead.

All thanks to Madden NFL. To this day they are one of my all time favourite bands.

Bump.

Because I first played GTA V way back from 2013 or 6 years ago, I started to know about Kendrick Lamar because of his song in the game.

Not an artist in the same sense as the others, but Jeremy Soule:

Jeremy Soule's early work for Guild Wars was his greatest achievement.
Everything after that including Skyrim was just ideas and motifs first created for GW's rich, diverse setting

Rom di Prisco from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. I remember that the soundtrack blew me away when I first played it.
And now he's making music for Fortnite...

The opposite would be that Zombie Nation made me discover Lazy Jones on the C64. I haven't played it, but if you don't get it, "Star Dust" from that game is practically the same as Kernkraft 400. Maybe they're trying to say that the C64 is like a microwave.

Rob Zombie - NFS Underground (though incidentally Two Lane Blacktop would very quickly become my least favourite song)
Jane's Addiction - Burnout Paradise
Yellowcard - Burnout 3: Takedown
Franz Ferdinand - Burnout 3: Takedown
Bullet for My Valentine - NFS Most Wanted (2005)
Pendulum - MotorStorm
The Chemical Brothers - Burnout Revenge
Avenged Sevenfold - Need for Speed ProStreet
Finch - Burnout Revenge
Eagles of Death Metal - NFS Carbon
Hot Action Cop - NFS Hot Pursuit 2

And probably the first instance of this phenomenon:

Metallica - Hot Wheels Turbo Racing

Far too many to mention from the Rock Band series but I don't really think that counts...
