Understood. Normally you'd call this new content additions to early access, or "in the next update to early access we will be adding <x>". The wording "car pack" has always been reserved for paid DLC previously, hence my confusion.
Agreed its not great wording, but it could be a lost in translation situation as well.

I don't think it is "new" content. More like announced (hence the word "unveil") content for Early Access. We live in a global gaming community now, and we have our respective native languages. So this as well... 👇

Funny reading this comment from guys located in UK and US respectively. My location is... not one of those two...

I've followed Kunos for many many years since AC v1 was in early access, but their English language to describe additions during the AC timeframe was more accurate than this. So I had certain expectations.

I suspect most of the social media is done by different people for AC Evo (and not the key Kunos personnel, some of whom are no longer at Kunos). Don't forget there were only 6 people on AC at the start so they did EVERYTHING. Now they are part of a much bigger company, a lot of stuff probably gets farmed out.
Also, I don't think Marco was the main Kunos media guy for AC?

The person who ran the social media at the time of AC1 if I remember correctly was Luca Sodano, who is also in charge of the entire sound section at Kunos and part of the support team for the forums.

Now starting with ACC and EVO the social media is run by people from 505 Games in collaboration with some members of Kunos, this is one of the reasons why Marco no longer teases any future content on his Facebook account because they now have a dedicated marketing team from 505 Games.

And, coincidentally, GTP's social media accounts are no longer followed by the AC ones...

The pontential for this racing game is absolutly massive. As huge gt fan. I actully see this being better than titles like gt7 and fh5 once it gets to full release in fall.
Just one week to go. Going to be very intresting to try next week.

As we are patiently waiting, I created a Track Day grid with the 8 cars already announced, This is me in VR in the Alfa, chasing an other Alfa at 2024 Silverstone all pimped up with the new bridge and the Hotel.
Good times, looking forward to add 4 more cars tomorrow.

Regarding 4 of those cars that remain, I am almost sure that they are the Audi RS3, the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce Electric, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 992 Race car and the Lotus Emira.

I'm a bit confused about the early access. I thought it would be like a closed beta where you would need to pre-order or have a code. But there doesn't seem to be an option to pre-order. Is everyone granted access to early access?

Ideally, I wanted the I30N Fastback (as that's my car), but the hatch will do the job quite nicely.
The I30 would be good car for a game to real world comparison.

Not sure if this is a day 1 buy for me yet, due to it being EA and other games coming out. And I really want more details about how the single player career mode will be structured and how moddable that might be. Either way, I'm looking forward to/hoping for a Scaffs Sim Racing video on it once it's out though.

@frozephyr you can buy the game once early access opens, and that's effectively pre-ordering the full game. The price ofthe game will increase over time as it gets closer to launch and more content becomes available in early access.

Yes, no restrictions or codes. You just buy it on steam on the 16th.

So 12 cars revealed now. quite an intresting list so far. 8 to go. I suspect the
Porsche 992 cup
Audi rs3
Honda nsx na1
Chevrolet camaro zl1 might be the only muscle car for early access
i would not be supriced if 4 of those will be part of 8 last reveals.

They reveal 4 today and sunday another 4. Maybe reveal the early access price on monday.

Was its not stated somewhere that in early access it would be betwen 4-5 updates before 1.0 releases. I guess the 3rd one being multiplayer and open world.

Marco has talked about revelaing more stuff for early access program.
We dont yet have a road map of it.

I belive in one of overtakes interview back in sim expo marco said they was going to reveal partnership with real brands for upgrade parts later in early access program,

Just 5 more days to go, really excited to try it. And looking forward to what it could evolve to in 2025😍🔥

Wait.. I didn't know it comes out that soon!

Overall, the current cars they have look pretty good. It seems that they may be running different lighting quality levels throughout the images, but I could be easily mistaken.

Yeah definitely huge potential in that regard, couple things really need to be right for it to be in that category of games:

  • Prompt console release, with updates, content drops etc that release alongside the PC version and not 6+ months after (like ACC).
  • HAS to be playable on a controller. And I don't just mean, physically playable and if you tweak for a week you might get something that feels OK, I mean, good, fun and very playable, like Gran Turismo, like Forza Motorsport, like WRC, like F1. If it can't do this then it simply won't be able to compete with GT and Forza.

Ah, I'm glad someone raised this point. If they really want to expand their market beyond what they'd done so far, their game should play great on a controller too. And no, I have no interest or accommodations to set up a wheel and pedals.

That ain't going to happen. They don't do their own ports. It's outsourced. It would be wishful to think that this would see console before 2027.
Maybe controllers work good, maybe they don't, but these guys are in the business of pushing the envelope on simulation. I wouldn't be mislead because they added some economy or upgradable parts. AC is still amazing to this day. ACC added even more in the realm of simulation. Thinking these guys are going to take a step back or many steps back for that matter to make something in the realm of a GT or a Forza is wishful thinking to some and quite the opposite to a lot of others. AC is over 10 years old and still leagues better than GT and Forza both combined.
I sure hope that they can accommodate a broad range of users with EVO but I as one sure don't want my new Kunos experience to be watered down.
