Assetto Corsa EVO’s “Eifel” Open-World Map Revealed, Will Expand to Over 600 Square Miles

Not sure what to think of AC Evo. Yes, it looks nice but how any cars are there going to be? Also, it's only on PC currently. Who knows when it will come to console.

20 cars at EA launch, no idea how many will come officially, and then when out of EA it will support modding, so the final total is anyone's guess.

I just want good controller support ala Forza or GT...... I hate these games because they feel crap with controller.

First concern, this could reveal some secret routes that are usually only used by locals and have often saved me from traffic jams during the 24-hour race, on the crowded Easter season opener or packed tourist driving days in the summer to get around the track.

Second, there are some very fine driving routes in this area but aside it's quiet boring since it's just forrests and meadow and not very much too see. Guess most people into AC experienced LA Canyons and PCH and these can get boring quiet quickly on the eye but most parts of the Eifel are way more dull.

Very excited but also worried a bit with people nowadays who are complaining about the FH5 or FH4 map who are 100 % wrong on a not straightlined 1:1 Eifel map with partly very narrow and curvy roads.

For PC gamers, they could end up with a decent amount of cars in the end. I'm guessing mods are only something that can be done on PC? I'm thinking it will be quite bare bones on consoles but a game that will be very pretty with great acoustics and handling. Similar to AC Competizione just with a mixture of race cars and road cars.

My excitement for this game is insane, last time i feeled this way was back in 2021 with gt7.

The recommended specs seems reasonable,

Currently have the 7900 xtx should be a good experince, will also give my psvr2 on pc a shot.

The big difference in ac evo through is thst you will be to upgrade and customize cars, witch should add so much more value to each car.

I have a feeling this will be released on PS6 and not on PS5 which sucks for me and i have no PC.

No PC needed. As long as it can be played through GeForce Now, you can play on your phone, tablet, TV.. you name it. I play my steam and xbox games on either my phone, Macbook Pro or TV. Works like a charm. Xbox or PS5 controller when I play on my Mac/TV and a Backbone controller on my phone. I use this controller when I want to play Gran Turismo on the fly too. No need for that overpriced Playstation Portal thingy.

Hate is a strong word, but I feel you. They’re hard with controller. Not a controller-friendly game. It’s a simulator meant for wheels. So they say about this one too, but they could and should implement better controller support, at least hire someone who can optimize it.

I have only ever used game streaming from my PS5 to my SteamDeck and I don't have a very good experience with it, seems OK for RPG's for example but there's no way it's good enough for a driving sim, it likes to lag randomly.

This could be just my Internet of course but based on that experience alond I won't be using streaming only for any games anytime soon.

As a former telecom guy who helped tons of people with their internet I’d very much like to discuss your internet quality

So I’d say yeah, it’s most likely your internet. And no, mbps doesn’t mean jack if the connection to the central is poor.

I won’t sell you the idea of streaming games, but both me and my wife have a good time streaming when we’re playing together. Very rare does it lag or drop in image quality. Heck, even Flight Simulator 2024 is a blast to play on my phone

Hope Playstation comes with this feature soon too, I strongly dislike that multiplayer nowadays means online and not on the couch same with two controllers.. very limiting for kids when they have a friend over and want to play something(I remember LOTR Retorn of the King as a kid. That multiplayer experience was awesome), or if you have a husband or wife that you like to play with after the kids are tucked in for the night. Dual TV & console setup is too expensive. Not to mention utterly ridiculous. We need more oldschool multiplayer games..

I know it's my Internet and the placement of the router but I have no other alternatives in this house so cloud gaming will remain a dream for me for sometime.

The technology will only get better as well as time goes on.

You would have if I gave you a visit. then you'd have wired connection without any in-house wiring unless A) you live in a brick house or B) live in a tall apartment complex.

Oh yeah definitely. In my short time I witnessed countless upgrades both in hardware and in software, and in the end thrown out because of an antenna so easy to install any costumer could do it because no plugs needed to be made and you just plastered the damn thing on your window with suction.*

*By looking at a light. Many costumers complained and want the technicians back to do it properly. Who checks signal strength by light? proper values, man. Costumers agree. And when given an azimuth not many people understand that either. I tell you. If you live in a basement below ground and next to your tiny window there's a concrete wall. Doesn't matter if the azimuth checks out and the light seemingly is green. Dumb ISP. I want my job back. I long to be the best again.
