Is it this one below?...

I think I tried this version back then. I can only assume the quality is poor if I still don’t have R246 in my AC list.

yeah the course is pretty unrecognizable as Tokyo R246 from the attempt I just made at driving it.

This being said, I've never laughed so hard at seeing hentai billboards....

1988 Mitsubishi Starion beta Release from Kevin Talley
Note: Touge Ver and 4g63 should be complete in 2-3 months.
----------------
This is a bone stock Mitsubishi Starion, it may feel sluggish with the 4g5b engine however there's a reason why most Starions in the wild have the popular 4g63 option.
This is mostly neutral, but can be lively with the right tunes.

You sir are the mvp! Drives SO much better.

I have noticed now however some things that have been effected:

Pit road mesh is definitely untextured. there are certain areas of the track that are also now untextured.

And the track is now a bit frame droppy. All of which i would take over it being as bumpy as it was but figured I'd make a note of it. Thanks again for doing this!

EDIT: I've put the full track + fix on my drive for those that want the whole sonoma track:

oh..
I fixed pitlane area.
The physics were displayed overlapping because I forgot the change "sonomaphysics.fbx.ini".
sorry:(

and
Sonoma is originally Physics mixed with texture objects. Some were divided later.
The physics are not one.
There may be minor inconveniences.
So maybe there is no choice but to find it steadily.

It was a bit late, but just in case..

New Sonoma road mesh -- MUCH BETTER!!!

Fabulous update for Sonoma and much needed. The previous mesh just ruined the experience that this track should deliver, and now it definitely delivers.

Now if I can just tune out of the over-steer and grip problems of VRC Indycar, so I can really enjoy it, as it likes to snap over-steer, and the font end can feel lazy at times.

@jk0011
BTW, in my version, with the folder only listed as "sonoma," and it has the green grass as default with a "burnt" skin option, on the Indycar layout, there aren't any cones for the first turn, before the last hairpin turn of the official Indycar version, to take you back to the start/finish straight. The way this first turn is set up, someone can easily use it as a shortcut and get a better lap time without being penalized. I thought I saw a version with cones, but they seemed to have disappeared (or I screwed something up).

Because of this, the fastest recorded lap times are wrong--and yes, I eventually took the shortcut too, and discovered why I couldn't get anywhere near the best times, unless I took the shortcut (I'm usually in the top three on most tracks--as long as no one has "cheated").

There were two track version.
sonoma.zip(reboot?)
sonoma_fps_fix_40pits_VAO.zip
Subtly different

2 onboard lap (badly driven with a controller) + a flyaround of the Washington track, as it got a fair bit of interest. @Masscot notice the friendly to re-skin billboards!

Woah, is this scratch made or converted from GRID?

BTW I just connected the dots and realized you're Tyrone on RD and Nukedrop on YT :lol: Love your Cathedral Rocks track by the way. Most fictional tracks end up pretty meh because they either try too hard or just feel cookie cutter. Yours managed to hit that sweet spot between fantasy and realism, just like the great old Gran Turismo tracks. Keep up the good work 👍

CSP 0.1.55 has been released. X4fab/Ilja is (also) very busy.

• Custom animations in tick-tock mode fixed (were broken in 0.1.53);
• Auto-reload for skins’ textures now works for other than txDiffuse textures;
• New inputs for track conditions: day of the year, day of the week, current holiday (more details are in wiki);
• SKINS parameter for [SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...] now works no matter if upper or lower case;
• Smart Shadows with stabilized matrices might work better, but require more testing;
• AC won’t crash anymore if skidmarks are missing.

The Dallara is on a certain Russian page, right ? Despicable bastards.

Look what you can find if you scroll down a bit :

They nicked my picture from a few pages back to 'promote' the Multipla GT3.
As if any reasonable ned would think 'yeah look at the front wheels am definitely getting this mod!' ahah.

What's your problem, sunshine? You don't like people freely sharing optional mods that they've created in their free time?
fist of all i'm not your sunshine and if i was i'd put you right. your an attention seeker spamming your **** balloons everywhere even in threads that are under your link on RD.

The VRC version has so much potential, but it seems no matter how I tune it, I just can't really enjoy it. You think you've figured it out, it seems better, you start pushing it, and it suddenly does something else, and you're sitting in an Indycar sit-n-spin carnival ride. Very unpredictable and difficult to commit to getting consistent laps.

I installed this long ago, its a physics rework for the Formula NA (indycar). The car is very stable now with it. It was only some small/few tweaks but its a lot more enjoyable drive now. And its not just throwing a ton of down force on it, ;) you can read the review too.

I have not understood this function well. (wiki?)

It's so you can play God :lol:

Really though, when using Weather FX, if you set the date to sometime in the winter, there will be snow, or colourful trees in autumn, etc. Also useful for setting the date for holidays, at which point there will be fireworks. The buggy version from yesterday also added additional properties for holidays, such as localization based on track location (ie, Canada Day on July 1st at Mosport, Independence Day on July 4th at Sonoma, etc). Some track configs can have different lengths of grass depending on the day of the week - like the landscaper only comes on Thursday's, for example. So this newest feature is likely an extension to these existing functions.

Hey,

Thanks for your compliments :D The Washington track is a layout i've made up and is scratch built :)
