Someone, maybe @slider666 knows or have a tutorial on how ext_config shader replacement works? I want to try to replace a texture of 250x250px with an higher quality one but i can't figure how to do it. Thanks :)
Have you tried overwriting the 250x250px with the higher quality one? keep the same name, it should work. For example if you do a 2k skin or a 4k skin, it's in the same folder, same name. not sure you need to change the shader. AC will load any texture size, but keep it reasonable.

i watched that tuto a while when i started doing some skins, it explains quite everything, especially how to do extract specific texture from different parts using CM showroom. quite useful information...

The best dock-theme track in AC! Well done to all. Glad to have this rebooted Reboot Team!

changing the values in CM is not enough to change this much, i tried by loading a kunos setting from one of their porsches and it didnt help, i think you have to change the shader, which is ksPerPixel and not ksPerPixelMultiMap

Im sorry to butt in again, but does anyone have the assettoland link for the Koenigsegg CCGT? was it ever in assettoland?

Street or race? I have both, but don't know, if any is from Assetoland.

Is Assetto Land down for good or is it just maintenance?

Might be a looooooooooooooooooooong maintenance.

Having never played rFactor 2 (beyond the demo, anyway), I'd never actually driven on this track, but I really like it here! The high-speed curves are so much fun to push through, though the off-throttle oversteer of the VRC Formula Lithium does make it a bit of a challenge...

...That reminds me, there was a guy on RaceDepartment who posted a few Formula E tracks converted from rFactor 2 (I think). They weren't the highest-quality but they were something at least. The guy was active a few months back, but his last file upload was at the end of May. I wonder what happened to him..

If you need some, just PM me what tracks are you looking for.

Thanks to @Zwiss for reminding me of this version of Algarve. This is for Nuno Ferraz and Tiago Lima's conversion, not the reboot or Zwiss version. Original fast lane was used, and I cleaned up the side lines and made a few ai hints in an effort to get open wheel cars working well. I guess when DRS zones are officially designated, if not done already, and someone can get them into the track it will help, and I can remove one of the hints.

While we are on the subject of these rally grb cars. Does anybody know how exactly they change the cars to make them "Hill climby"? I would imagine different tyres for better grip, different gear ratios, anything else? I don't do hill climbs and don't do rally in AC, so I never ever even downloaded any of these cars. But looking at them now, they have some interesting models. Can they with some tweaking be converted back to normal track cars, or are their physics totally different and it's not worth the bother?

I will be getting to some (alot) of hillclimb cars soon to evaluate.

From what I have seen, use of low CG and lots of aero ;)

Bought several packs from Simdream, but i am not really happy with their work.

Mediocre quality mods... Sorry

Don't buy from simdream...ever. They steal models from games with no credit and lazily put together the physics so they can sell them for exorbitant prices. You're essentially buying the 3d model.

Hello!
I've been watching this thread for a couple of months and I'll post for the first time. I am always grateful for your help.

I was absent from updating for a few months. Sorry. But I helped Fuji 1993 posted by my friend.
I heard that he got electrocuted!
I am alive:lol:

Sorry for the poor English.

Looks like there is now a list of "good" and "bad" AC mods on github https://github.com/RustyChest/list-of-assetto-mods.

Some of these so called "bad mods" are quite questionable picks...

I took a look at that list, and I would have to agree with you snomtn; I don't think some of those should be on the naughty list. Perhaps I would appreciate it more if the person who compiled this list actually provided an explanation for more than just a couple of entries...

looks really good from what I can tell, until the first corner when all the cars drive though the track and fall into the nether...
