and I just learned that the rally academy website got dropped, shame. There was some mods on there that I liked such as the Lancer Evo. V.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can find this Lime Rock Mountain mod again?

I recall getting it from this site, but I can't find it on there anymore. I was just wondering if someone moved it somewhere else.

It´s still there, just redownloaded it for testing:

it does not overwrite it removing the stuff from the skin folder looks identical its only painted in white the reflections are literally the same along with shading all it does is add paint on the car and it looks baked even when it ''' overwrites it''' it does not look worse in any way.
I'm sorry but it completely overwrites it that is the while point of a skin. If you replace a diffuse texture with one that has no AO then no AO will show. I cant think of anyway else to explain to you how it works as maybe I don't have the right words but look here at the latest version of you very own car. Take the red skin for example there is NO AO on that skin, your red diffuse texture takes the AO away, it does not add to it but maybe picture will paint a 1000 words. As I say earlier try use a showroom that does not show off fake frills and shows you better what you see but maybe this is a bit reflective but it gets the point accross

You red skin on your car :

I added AO that is completely missing from that skin just to red paint only part :

It is not the best car to show this off but it is your car and as you can see by looking in shadow areas - no AO on your skin. I did not modify you original red skin in anyway, that is how it is downloaded.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say now :cheers:

Alright, updated link for the Z3M:
https://mega.nz/file/l15E3aIS#2jNlG-hk2p61trAVEFEja_QjwTDKlTTE6omrbnt1v78
-new TxMap texture
-AO tested with every skin, no need to have the diffuse in skin folders so it's removed
-Working headlights, thanks Sylana for the shader replacements lines in the config
-Adjusted some values for materials like leather
-Fixed brake calipers position, now they don't clip
Thanks to UolterUait and everyone involved in this mod. I'd like to point out that the steering wheel doesn't seem to be centered.

If you edit the cars ui_json "brand", you can create your cars into groups, without messing with online mismatches.
I have all my F1 cars from VRC/ASR edited into "decades" (and 1991 has its own)

"brand": "Ferrari", to "brand": "F1 1999",

super easy to do, eliminates looking for the cars you want, especially if they are in a "class".
ui_car.json
{
"name": "Aston Martin Vantage GT4",
"brand": "Aston Martin",

change to:
{
"name": "Aston Martin Vantage GT4",
"brand": "GT4",

do this for every car in the mod. I use JSGME and edit the files before "enabling mod"

Hi guys , I found on Reddit an image of 2 old V8 supercars ( Mercedes and Volvo ) someone with news of when they will be released please thanks

Since March 11th I have been a professional bass player without a gig... thanks to corona.
It's been rough. We've suffered hard through this. They opened it up here in Michigan for a couple weeks and then said nope. Only out side gigs and private parties so far have been a go.
I can't do my sound company either. Everything music involves groups of people.

Hang in there and keep slappin that thing.

I'm looking for Zwiss' rework of old spielberg
Masscot posted a link but it seems that the file seems to be have taken down. again.

did any of you managed to snatch it? if so PM me

Hi ! :)

@MrDK09
I wanna thank you for your Ferrari 488 Evo skin.
It's actually, in my opinion, the most beautiful skin done for this car ! 👍 :bowdown: ;)

@Zwiss
Thanks a lot for your last "Osterreichring" versions !
You are not aware as I always loved this track so much with his tremendous curves and... It has been the last race won by the "Super Swede" aka Ronnie Peterson !
Last but not least and It's very appreciated here, a proper folder for each version. 👍

Unfortunately and You are absolutely not responsible about the well known and not resolved issue since several years about the tires which dig into the ground in some places.

Just a little annoying thing in replay, the pleasure to drive on these tracks stills ! ;)

Cheers ! :cheers:

My 787th post here ! :lol:

I hardly even watch replays... so I did not notice here.
There are a few other good tracks that have this problem; with the physical mesh being a bit to high.
I take note of this, and see what I can do in an update later on.

Hi ! :)

@Zwiss
Yes, some other tracks took this issue like Zolder and Sachsenring by memory and obviously, It stills not these last two !

Thanks a lot for your attention, It's very kind.
I will add just a little thing (maybe I will be the only one !?) but I think the groove line is a little bit too dark. :embarrassed:

Cheers ! :cheers:

I spent the last couple days refreshing an old track, Halle Saale Schleife, originally made for rFactor by f1edition, converted to Assetto Corsa by Terra21, and refreshed by me. Gilles also converted this track, but this isn't his conversion.

  • many textures replaced with more detailed higher resolution equivalents (crowds, sponsor boards, a few buildings)
  • cobblestone sections are now bumpier and less grippy
  • added night lighting
  • added grassfx
  • fixed objects with duplicate faces (trees, guardrails and track bridges)
  • removed fake shadow and fake glow objects
  • made start lights work
  • added sections file
  • added collision for hay bales, fences, guardrails, walls, nearby trees, tire walls
  • fixed holes off-track that could be seen from the track
As far as new textures, some of them were really low res in the original so I recreated the sponsor banners as well as I could in higher resolutions. I also replaced the crowd with some generic crowds. It definitely still looks like an rfactor track and I highly recommend you don't look too closely at the spectators (lol), but I think it looks better at least, and I added some features so here's the link:

Enjoy!

Great job enhancing this vintage beauty! Hope to see more of Andre Streu's tracks getting this TLC :) E.g. Rostock Osthafenkurs and Leipzig already look pretty decent in game...

Any change you could also add a complete physics mesh to this track? The cobblestones feel very real now, but the rest of the track still feels a little flat. Unfortunately Terra21 didn't include a proper phys mesh in the original conversion...

The NewCastle 500 track paid version info: Just got a new update

i know most of you wont be getting this track because of the price, but they fixed my problem so thought
I would give a mention about it.

1. They FIXED the invisible track surface mesh barriers that some (low to the ground) car mods would find
and it was like they hit an invisible wall in the middle of the track.
So any car should work on the track now.

2. Some new graphics, no config lighting yet,

Its not bad, but I am modifying AI lines and side lines for this track a little bit. They only do live online racing with track so
AI lines are not that important. Overall, it is a nice city track to drive. Couple of the corners they made smoother-easier
to corner than the free version that some of you have.

take care,

BE Modding, disgruntled skin maker, you know where, just posted up all their stuff....just a heads up.
Even older cars of theirs such as a Mazda 323F JTCC I saw years ago on their page before I got banned there after chatting with Rouen about getting them?

That BE-modding stuff. I know that another forum can't be mentioned here but would linking that pack be against the rules? They're not paymods, right? Were they ever even going to be..?
