Success! Everything seems fine: the preview is positioned correctly, the model is intact, the animations work, the shaders are intact... BUT. Unfortunately, the headlights no longer work... :crazy:
What a shame - so close!

Lol, that was because I have deleted two objects that I thought were too many in the model, and apparently they were the lights (I thought did not have lights, and it was not necessary to leave it haha), let me redo it, now I correct the link that I leave you above for you to try.

DONE!, you can try the new KN5, sorry for that :D

Great track, great circuit, thank you (I drove 120km tonight).
Ai is really slow (too slow at 100% with the Ford Escort and also the Guerilla GT4.
Very very bumpy !
I like it but with some cars it's almost impossible to drive (911 GT3 Cup) especially in turns 4, 5 and 6 (all the downhill).
In spite of that it fits into my favourite circuits 👍

Thank you for this track @Teddie I really like the different elevations in this track and is fun to drive even though it is fairly bumpy at this time. I put my cockpit view "Lock to Horizon" for VR. I did notice and lowered the friction numbers in the SURFACES file. Most of them were up around 3.0. There are KEY names in the SURFACES file for the pit area, but does not seem to be functioning at this time, maybe the KEY names need to be different.

I had no problems racing with the AI cars. Be cool to make the Jets in the air do an animated pass by. One of the guys in the Nascar Facebook page did a jet flyby on one of the oval tracks. Not sure how he did it, but looked cool.

Note: I just watched a you tube video of the real track, and the track is somewhat rough and bumpy.

I'm happy to confirm that the Moto layout is, as stated, terrible.
Fantastic update though. It's very cool indeed watching the portable lights deploy or retract during day/night transitions. I love little details like this.
And (LTTP I know) but holy feck at dynamic shadows. I hadn't tested these before because CSP builds after 0.1.61 have terribly borked particles, but wow... just wow.

I've looked everywhere and didn't find the option for dynamic shadows... do you remember, by chance, where it was?
 
been wondering a while if it's THE Tommy Rustad or just a fan of him. Can't see him to be a modder to be honest, but who knows. Maybe someone made it for him to practice for STCC

Fantastic! All seems great now. From the first moment I saw this car it appeared that the headlights had been converted to combined air intakes/headlights. Not sure if there was ever a 911 that did this in real life... but it certainly gives it a unique look.
Thanks again for all your help. It's good to finally solve another one of these misaligned preview issues - there seems to be a few reasons why it happens.

Optimized in 3DS MAX: reduced object count from 7508 to 368 :)
The only ones I left out were the extremely mesh-overkill vans (500.000 polys for 12 vans + trailers)
The only thing I added: a treeline around the terrain.

In BLM Lights I made an option so that you can enable wet-like effects to roads by adding sections that modify some materials commonly used for tracks and curbs (you can also add defined materials for defined tracks).

I was thinking I could do the same for the new RAIN_FX CSP extension, so, in case there already isn't a rain_fx section for a track, I make a new one (that will be deleted when exiting or reopening AC) using common roads materials.

would somebody be interested into this option?

I am going to fiddle with the skins and get better trees etc. Love the feel of the track hence why i was so keen to get it running well.
Doing some cameras too.

Working on getting some banger racers via some very clever drift mods that look perfect for the job!

Going with set engine and physics pretty much for the 3 banger cars as just want them to run well together.
They are high, slippy and handle like boats and rough as muck.....just like they should be!

Thanks for this. Seems to run fine, although to be honest I'd be the last person to notice - I used to play Indy 500 on Amiga and thought it was coinop smooth, only to find out years later it ran at 17fps with all details off.

⛈TUTORIAL RAIN FX ⛈

(Only for CSP 1.63 Preview 3 Beta version minimumView attachment 951655 )

Big thanks to Peter Smith and Code Nayme for the tips...

1 - in game open the Objects Inspector and Alt+clic on the material you want to puddles, soaking, smooth or rough...

2 - Clic on the material name in the Objects Inspector (It copy directly in the clipboard)

3 - Open the extension (.ini) of the track (Generally in assetto corsa/extension/config/tracks/loaded)

4 - add all the line of the RAIN FX and paste the name of the material in the correct line in function of the render you want

5 - Ctrl+S for save and check directly in-game the effect

6 - You can control the effect with the cursors of the WeatherFX Debug app for see if it's work

Do that for each materials of the tracks for a better and realistic effect

Did you see the Northampton track i posted up has both dirt and road versions?
Northampton is all shale/dirt now.

Yeah I have got really into this UK oval stuff, a lot of fun in AC and looking through youtube at the various vids from past and present.

I went on wreckfest last night and downloaded all the uk oval stuff. Its good, but its not AC good, wish these guys had stayed with AC..

Also desperately trying to learn how to swap wheels around for this beast.
Removed glass with a config though.
Once i learn how to remove stuff or add stuff i am sorted.
(if anyone can stick some wheels from a donor car onto this i will pay for beer!)
