I had to help him out big time with creating the grids. I got if not around 3 arcade game grids. STCC being 1 of them, Le mans 24 being the 2nd, Daytona USA etc.
Currently, I'm trying to create a virtua racing grid for AC (bad at creating skins) and a Scud race grid. I'm just missing 1 skin then we'd be ok.

and a bigger thank you note to those quietly behind the scenes doing their magic to ensure all is good-to-go - support is also contributing 👍

Would you know, so many complains about encrypted mods and now people have to get used to it.

hi @MrDK09 , nice work on the Mach 1, thanx for that, Im runing with CSP0.1.66 and found some issues, the texture of the exhaust looks a little bright, the calipers in front wheels are in the wheels dummie and not in the suspension, and maybe the AO map of the rims has a shadow fixed, so when the wheels are in movement this shadow looks like dirty...can you look at this for a fix? I aprecciate your effort, keep in progress!!

People, could someone help me? I have SOL 2.0 Beta 13 (to test if this would solve the problem) and CSM 0.1.66, It turns out that when I put rain, I see the track wet (without water particles) but I also do not see it rain, I already uninstalled SOL and CSM several times and I could not solve it either, if someone helps me I would appreciate it.
My English is very bad, I am using google translate, i sorry.

Its not easy to explain, but, above some CSP version, rain doesn't work however some mods feature works. Under some CSP versions, rain works but some mods features doesn't work.

You have to decide what and test what mods work with some CSP and what CSP has working rain.
I'm no expert in this matter and I don't want to be. So you might get a better awnser from an expert in this matter.

What I guess what happened is, the developer put the rain feature in stand by, to work on others features, even if the patreons went to the patreon to support the rain feature in the first place. Jeeez I'm tired now. :nervous:

Cheers

I am very interested in your feedback (positive or negative) if you find any problems, bugs or things to correct send me a message I will try to fix it.

Enjoy ;)

I want to make clear that I will give my feedback only concerning the driving experience.
Why? Because I don't use SIM racing games to play FPS nor to take close pictures. So I will not see if the gap from the left door to the left fender, is exactly the same as the right door to the right fender. I'm sorry . Personal options.

My opinion worth what it worth, what do I know, right? Hehe

Right. The handling is fantastic. I like the acceleration, the throttle response. The brakes, in fact quite good either in straight line either cornering.
The behavior while cornering is very good aswell, very neutral, the car only complains if we abuse.
Another thing I like (although been able to modify, whoever doesn't like) is the gap between the 5th and 6th gear, performing some of these cars, having the last gear longer to reach more top speed (with these engines it is possible) and having a lower fuel consumption.

For me, you hit the target right in the center. Congratulations.

Just one question. It is supposed the car symbolize an American car, or an European car?
I know the car is American :rolleyes:

I'm waiting for your next releases quite excited. Well done. 👍

Cheers

That classic Charger still needs some work. I actually do like old muscle cars quite a bit for road racing, but for this one I just gave general pointers and improved tires slightly.

Not enough time for a full re-do, maybe someone who is competent and knows Chargers better should try their hand. Tire-wise it just needs load and camber curves + some ironing out of the values, but it needs a lot of suspension work mainly. Rear is AXLE so needs some AC-specific expertise to get right.

Hello guys.. the new Bugatti Bolide on AC? What??:eek: Where is possible to download this monster? I'm a Bugatti fan!!! Thank you!!

They always do these videos but never share the mods. I think they just want to flex with what they have. At the end i don´t think it´s a mod with good or atleast average quality. But it wouldn´t surprise me if RTM releases it for 100+ bucks

How about a 2018 S63 AMG? (W222 facelift)
I have a decent model from City Car Driving and I can also provide you with physics and real colors.

maybe or maybe not useful, in essense its RaceLogic pushing their race tools, but, damn good read on cornering strategies, race lines, interpretation of telemetry, the chapter on using tyre temps to speed up car setups etc also interesting, not sure how much translates to real life vs sim, or especially AC setups, but, going to give ity a go, irrespecitve good read and free.

Current limitation of the patch, I believe.
Unsure if you're talking about the actual casted light cones or the emmissives.
For the former one can use Distant Emissives defined in the track config to remedy this, for the latter it's all usually controlled by the FADE_AT= value.

Hope this helps(?)

Big disclaimer for vanilla AC, but almost none (Okay, none.) of the IRL temperature stuff is applicable.

Pretty much only sim (That I have looked at and confirmed, rF2 perhaps as well but I'm not sure) that has even a little bit realistic tire and brake heating is AC with Extended physics. So currently basically only the P13C and perhaps that one Audi from BK. IIRC older gMotor sims also suffer, including Automobilista 1. No idea about AMS2.

Vanilla AC is missing features and most content has very incorrect rate of heating, manner of heating, interactions between brakes and tires (None to my knowledge; and the brake heat is consequently not worth using due to it) etc. so you simply can't use the same tire heating strategies, or even the same logic as IRL, for most sims but especially vanilla AC.

If you're going for performance in AC, forget IRL completely and just optimize it within the game's system. Heat is probably the weakest part about vanilla AC tires. I'm trying to make it a *bit* better for some of my physics updates that are coming up, but the limit is reached soon. Extended physics content is also few and far between currently, but that can change in the future.

If, and when, more cars start implementing realistic tire and brake heating, with probably my own ones to be some of the first "public" ones to include it (If I decide to, there are some downsides too), then it should be possible to implement quite realistic tire and brake heating strategies and have them work.

ACC has been hit and miss. Apparently the brake heating is even *worse* than vanilla AC if some telemetry was to be believed some time ago, but the tires might be better. Wouldn't count on that to be perfect either.

I think that older version you have to go into debug mode and click on debug rain to see the effect. I can't remember the exact proceedure while I'm at work.

As you have one of the preview builds already you should then have access to his patron if you got it legit, download the build from the 2nd latest post and you will get lights-patch-v0.1.67-preview 1, it's latest version and easier to turn on effect as shown below

Hi Everybody.
I meant to get this out 2 days ago as a Thanksgiving present for all of the folks across the pond.

Here is a link to one of the courses i've been working on, it's been available on my Patreon feed for some time now, and is practically finished.

I'd appreciate any feedback you might have before I push this to Race Department for it's official release.

The latest version has all environment details in place, as well as a whole new track extension for the 'Long' layout, which is also used in the Rallycross tracks.
AI for all 5 layouts is included, although might still need a bit of tweaking.

Cannock Chase.

A very close to being finished version of Thunderhill, basically just needs AI for 6 of the 8 layouts now.
