It has been a while since we all wanted and asked for the final version of the Alfa Romeo 33 T12. Can you please settle on its physics and post it here for download. We really love this car. We thank you very much.

Anyone help me with some advice regarding paddle to H shift? I have that VW Beetle Porsche engine revival mod, that seems that it would be a lot better if it wasn't paddle shift. I thought this might be a really easy fix, so used ALT J in content manger to unpack the car data files. I go into Drivechain.ini and then edit "SUPPORTS_SHIFTER=1" as next to it suggests ";1=Car supports shifter, 0=car supports only paddles" I save this file but doesn't make any difference in game. I go back to ini file, which still has my edit saved so kind of stumped at moment. Is there something I'm missing? is there maybe a bit more to process or I'm I just being a dumbass

Just a quick question about Race Department screen formats now . Seems they have changed how I view downloads now where they give me a very narrow vertical band to see the actual items I want to look at. Then they have all that other garbage on the screen all the time which is not necessary. Is there a way to change the format of the screen to see just a full screen of the download contents? And I have a large LCD tv screen in which I view everything.
I dont like their new format.
Every time RD changing the format of the page, it seems that they do not use it because it is cumbersome to look for something there, also the amount of advertising sucks. I try not to enter RD my friend.

AC is still reading the old data.acd.
Delete the old data.acd or repack the data and delete the unpacked data folder.
Or, enable the 'use unpacked data if it exists' option on the Drive screen.

Thats how updated car will looks like. Much better, right?

Update will also be about 100% ready Motec dashes, collider update.

I decided to polish pack #1 before moving to pack #2.

They are definitely looking more visually refined, with certain features really popping-out... Great work 👍

Believe the trick may lie on the following scenario...

If the car has been 'unpacked' via CM and you have edited an INI file from the DATA folder, then you may also need to rename your data_acd file situated in your car-folder... Don't delete it, just rename it by placing eg. an underscore as a prefix... like so, _data_acd... See how you go with this...

edit: nice to see you on the thread @Masscot - trust all is going well

Will keep that in mind so I can always revert/have back ups if I go to make further changes to the ini files, first time I've had a proper look inside these folders. Will experiment anyhow see if I can learn some things over next few months.

Racing the Beetle now is tons of fun!

Sir! I'm just thrilled to finally have a collection like this in AC! I have SO many memories coming to grips with sim racing in cars like the BMW 320 tin tops from rFactor, and Race 07, and they just haven't existed here in any real quality (except for those whom we will not speak). Congratulations, and thanks so very much for this huge project!

And--like GPL--harder to drive than the real thing (I think).

Have you tried the latest update with the new BMW? I feel it's a bit more forgiving to drive compared to the rest so you can throw it about a bit more. The other cars usually take me a few laps for myself to warm up then I'm in the rhythm & the pace. Definitely harder than other mods, but got a lot of enjoyment and hours out of them.

Poll time!
What tracks do you want to see in AC?

First of all, thanks for your work!

If you ever do a poll like this again, I'd like to submit for you consideration these GTR2 mods:
  • Castle.Combe.2005.v2.0.GTR2 (chicane-less version)
  • Oakes.Field.v1.2.GTR2
  • OldIrelandRing.GTR2
  • ParamountRanch for GTR2
  • Sears.Point.v1.01.GTR2
  • Jovite60s_PhilRob.GTR2
  • Thunderhill.Park.v0.9.GTR2
And, especially:
  • Donnybrooke.Speedway.v1.1.GTR2
  • Preluk.1974.v1.01.GTR2
  • Torino_1955.GTR2

I think these are all on eSport-Racing.de

that time someone asks to collaborate, but says says your physics are super wrong and how he will fix them because your car is so very far from reality AND he is from such famous XYZ mod team, and you give them the car...
and 5 PDF files from the manufacturer... complete specs and teardown, detailed gears, dampers, springs, toe, camber... road tested setup guides detailing those adjustments...

and ask them to use the docs.

and he delivers you a car that, while feeling not bad... has not one spec aligned with reality, completely remapped the engine (that now does not match the provided real dyno sheet), not one gear correct from a table of 4 gearsets...
Does not touch the suspension, or anything else other than tires, clutch, wheel lock, and the aforementioned drivetrain (errors).

Pointing this out to famous XYZ modder... he gets sand in his panties and says bye with insta block.

I need more popcorn

A few have beta testers have tried the new version with good feedback. She is in my hands, being massaged and caressed...
She has new shoes to choose (a girl needs more than one shoe!), a fresh tight fitting form... sleek in the wind.
Her bottom? Well, it's the finest (isnt it?), and in winter she fills out that bottom end just a little more ;)

A man always seems to wait for the woman who takes his heart and makes him grin...

we are stupid men.

It was bound to happen, the inspiration to get more liveries for this mod got the better off me... Needs a few stripes along the sides...
