Not questioning the purpose of the messages visible in the Jeddah track, but for me they kill immersion.
So I made a quick skin for myself. I'm far from a specialist in making track skins, but it came out reasonably imo.
Since I heard / read more people wanted a 'real' skin I decided to share.

Allright modders, a 'little' issue I have with a nifty little Opel Kadett C GTE S1 from Eboo (available from Assettoland):

I seem to have a version from a more recent date, but it has no version number and I don't know where I got it from. But both versions show the same issue:
the exhaust smoke comes out of the front air intake (yellow arrow) and nothing (no smoke or flames) coming out of the exhaust in the rear.
Is there an (easy) solution that I can do, or is somebody willing to fix that ?

In case you don't have it, this was last updated in 2018.

For VR, it looks great, except that the rear window has weird reflections, so smart mirrors show gray in the center mirror. Also, the shifting is off, as the driver reaches into the side panel, too low and too short of the knob.

Try copying these lines for the position and direction in the flames.ini file:

Started doing some progress on the 25TH Anniversary finally managed to attach all of the objects without loosing the polygons i found out a way.
But damn the detail on these GT models is insane. Will use the Kunos LP500 textures for the interior and the wheels/rims since i have no clue what the hell is going on with the mesh on those.

Songs like this motivate me to work on the Countach more lol.

I'm absolutely stoked to hear this. I'm not the biggest fan of the car, but that's a talented group of people right there so I'm sure it'll be great regardless. Thank you, and perhaps an even bigger thanks to Arch for demanding a public release haha.

I will never give them my money, but I really hope this car makes it to the public someday. It has been a favourite of mine pretty much since I knew it exists.

I also just checked their Patreon. They really expect anyone to give them the full price of a AAA game per month?!? Insane.

"Physics have been given a complete working over. The bones were actually quite good despite being one of my first cars (the power of real data) but I've kitted it out with all of our latest features: fins for yaw drag, recalculated brakes with an LUT for the hydraulic proportioning valve, new inertias, tweaked suspension setup and completely overhauled tires. I also tidied up the setup options a bit, reset most of the F6 cameras and fixed a couple of annoying UI and log errors. I'm still waffling a bit on a few things, mostly in the tires, hence v1.99 and not v2.0... I'm open to feedback there.

On the CSP side there's been a total overhaul of the lighting, new paint shaders (the metallics... OMG the metallics) and a couple of little quality of life tweaks to a material here and a shader there. Once again, despite its age the bones here were quite good. Note that we can only do so much with this kind of non-invasive surgery - the wipers still don't work, for example, and there are a few other things that could only be further improved by changing the model itself - but that's up to Mantas. It's not ours to modify."

I bet it's the leaking radiator not the exhaust smoke. Ilya added these features in preview 35 ; )

This will save me a job for now. Hopefully there will be a much improved version of the track before I drop a full F1 skin on it.
