Try a wet track without extended physics and with it
still feel no difference ... (tried with the audi rallycross from Legion, on Redbull Ring GP, in heavy Rain)
What I did notice is that the rain made the opponent cars half transparant (could slightly see through them) ??
And my GPU headroom completely gone and FPS not stable (so no rain , and no extended physics for me - if that only is supposed to make a difference in the rain, good to know!)

Afaik, the extended physics setting hasn't got influence on all car mods. At least I have cars where the difference (especially in the wet) is very clear, not so much or even unexistent on other cars.
Try the Reboot BAC Mono with/without the settings on dry/wet.

As you can see in the image above, there is a shadow in the middle of the windshield, probably AO related but idk... As with all cars with a single centered wiper, there will be a noticeable lag/stutter when the wiper reaches the center position. If this bothers you, you can shift the wiper's starting position to the right side by removing (or prefixing with a semicolon) the following line in the ini file:
INI:
ANIMATION_OFFSET = 0.200000

In CM showroom, right-click the glass to select it.
In the edit pallette, click the 3 vertical dots that appear next to the name of the glass Material. You'll get a little properties window.
Click the "Change values" button at the bottom to open an editing window.

Lots of shaders stuff to edit there, and I'm no expert on what each property does exactly, but I've had success with this kind of issue by adjusting fresnelC, and fresnelMaxLevel. Of course, doing this on a car with windows which are just as you like, will give a set of values to try. Example:

Blend mode: Alpha blend
Alpha test: False
Depth mode: Normal

Shader properties:
• ksAmbient: 0.25
• ksDiffuse: 0.25
• ksSpecular: 2
• ksSpecularEXP: 650
• ksEmissive: 0
• ksAlphaRef: 0
• fresnelC: 0.1
• fresnelEXP: 3
• isAdditive: 0
• fresnelMaxLevel: 0.3

Known issue: internal door windows are not parented to the door nulls which means the internal windows will not move with the doors - positioning and rotating the windows to match the door null orientation is a pita. Just don't open the doors while it's raining...

@Wlynsan Removing the interior mirrors would require separating the mesh in the model, so it's not just a matter of hiding them via CSP config.

Can you please add a bit glass dirt effect to front window? At suny day look like no glass.
 
Someone knows if there is more stuff like that? (Retextures of old circuits that change the asphalt to a dirt effect - so a more 20ish look)

Nick the track texture form the retro tracks by fat alfie and make a track skin.
Or just use that one you linked, i used it on some dirt oval tracks.

you're right, I updated the download with some dirt texture applied to the internal windows, same link as in original post:

Pity that @PepperoniAC24 guy did not continue to transfer other old tracks to an roaring 20’s look.
 
OK so bit of house keeping like folders in order and I've got some stuff coming this week for those interested in stuff a bit more left field.
All for use on short oval tracks as per my particular bent.
So eventually a bunch of UK oval tracks, brisca stock cars, retro hot rod stock cars and some other abnormalities.

This is the latest stuff I've been working on.

Hi guys, a bit of a random question; working on a mod car and one of our beta testers reported an issue with the automatic shifting. The car goes from first to second perfectly fine, but when shifting from 2nd to 3rd it struggles. It looks as if the game wants to hit 85kmh to shift to third, while the car only hits 75kmh when in 2nd. 3rd to 4th is fine again, and AI seems to be unaffected as well.

RPM values (within ai.ini and drivetrain.ini) seem to be fine (at/under the car's max rpm). Raising the max RPM value in ai.ini did make the game wait longer until trying to shift, but at 6500rpm (of 6500) the car maxes out at said 75kmh. From that point the game keeps trying to shift until the car actually hits 85kmh (by going downhill for example).

Has anyone got an idea what can cause this glitch? Or where to look?
