Hi guys. A question for those who know. Could someone tell me how to solve this? It starts to damage the engine as soon as you accelerate. It does it in all gears and I don't even get to force the RPM's to the maximum. This happens to me with most GTsupreme mods (this is the Lancia LC2/85). Any help you give me is welcome.

Because he probably doesn't have the turbo damage threshold above the actual boost amount. Look in engine.ini and add the boost of turbo(s) if there's two, go to the bottom of the file and look what the number is for turbo damage. Nothing like a modder that will say, but I don't use damage when I play. 😅

Hi. I would look into the engine.ini under the data folder.
There should be a [DAMAGE] section.
Here is an example of another Lancia LC2 Group C -1985:

[DAMAGE]
TURBO_BOOST_THRESHOLD=3.2 ; level of TOTAL boost before the engine starts to take damage
TURBO_DAMAGE_K=5 ; amount of damage per second per (boost - threshold)
RPM_THRESHOLD=9200 ; RPM at which the engine starts to take damage
RPM_DAMAGE_K=1 ; amount of damage per second per (rpm-threshold)

In the Data folder -> engine.ini -> increase TURBO_BOOST_THRESHOLD and/or RPM_THRESHOLD to be a little higher than the max boost pressure it makes and limiter rpm respectively (I don't have that car myself, so I don't know the values for it)

Thanks everyone for the tips, I'll check it out later. If I can't fix it I think I'll follow Beezer's example and play without damage, haha.
 
Like I said, I was only commenting that particular sentence ("I know people are not interested because it doesn't exist") because, from a socio-cultural point of view, it represent nothing less than the death of creativity.

"People are not YET interested because it doesn't exist...yet".
Small difference but a whole other view on the subject... And an open door to something new and exciting! Just keep it in mind, don't use the "lack of interest" of others as an excuse, it's not receivable :)

For the rest it's nothing of my concern, you do what you want with your mods.
Yeah, something got lost somewhere, although I've enjoyed reading your thoughts on this.
What i meant was i always thought having a monster truck would be a big deal in AC, I was mega chuffed to do it and I've had a lot of fun with them.
But although it interested me, i would say, and i maybe wrong, that as no one else did it or bar one or two no one really showed much interest in it, and in the fact that i have beamng and its just better for that stuff, it was easy to just move on.
Same with the banger cars, i love them still use them, but its too niche so all i think about is "i want to do this for me" i don't think "what do people want".
I guess that makes a difference.
The ftrucks are different, i know there is already two in AC and i know that it would be a worthy addition to add 3 more.


I also doubt every modder releases everything they have ever done.

In fact there are several, I have a large number of them, but you can see that they are poorly worked because many of them do not even have liveries. I don't remember right now where I got them.
 
Hi! Does somebody know how can I deactivate the real mirrors effect in a monitor (right arrow in picture) without deactivating the real mirrors in the CSP settings (left arrow)?

Could you have a look at some of the Reboot tracks? On Bathurst the AI seem to slam the anchors on going into the Mcphillamy Park and then brake way too hard going into Skyline. Also, on Suzuka they seem to brake suddenly going into 130R and are a bit too cautious going into the final chicane. Both tracks the AI are fine around the rest of the circuit but I annihilate them in each of those sections rendering the racing experience a tad redundant.

Will probably update the East circuit again in the future too.

Bathurst I dont exactly remember if it was possible to record a line, for whatever reason the app doesnt record on some tracks, might be a bug or a type of encryption I'm not aware of. Will give it a look again though.
 
I wasn't expecting the number of interested people in the Lemans_2017 changes I made when I posted the pics yesterday so I tried to finish off a first draft as quickly as possible. It will be tweaked moving forward. I didn't change any of the original textures except for two grass textures. I just tweaked the exposure and gamma on the textures so the track will look basically the same. It will just have deeper, darker colors. May be too dark depending on your ppfilter.

-- Credit for the ext_config I used as the base goes to NoThrottleControl aka nptc364
-- Two terrain track skins and two tree track skins. The difference in the terrain skins is one has a slightly browner green tint to the grass. The difference between the two tree skins is how dark they are. As usual, I couldn't make a final decision.
-- The vao patches don't need to be used.
-- The soaking materials line in the rain_fx has been commented out. You can re-enable it if you like.
-- Backup any files that may get overwritten before extracting.

I can only speak for myself, but when you do a vintage track and I see the download pop up I'm really excited - really appreciate your updates for tracks and they each mean I will spend a lot more time with that track.

Most recent example being Sebring 1966 AI, which has made that one of my 'go to' circuits for offline racing as a result. Would love to see you try your hand at any other historic tracks...

Let me know if you're up for requests/suggestions, but absolutely no worries if not! Thanks for the ones you've done so far.

I struggle with the fine details, both the jag and nissan have interior issues, which i can look over, but its a shame i'm just not god enough yet. If honest, i bash them out to get in the game in an excited manic state.

I too would love to try a monster truck in AC ... but I can't make one myself
(and I only drive in VR, BeamNG does not support vr , so that is off the table for me... )

all this talk of Monstertrucks had me look for one and I found another one (here) to scratch the itch...

Still would love to pit it against yours Safi! ;)

Anyone able to improve the AI lines of tracks to the point where it is actually fun and fair to race against will receive a million praises from me!

So many tracks in my library got a 3/4 stars rank with a comment that say "slow AI" because I smoke all of them in 3 laps, starting dead last at 100% AI... I keep them "in case of" but know that I will probably never use it again in this state...

I should really start to learn how to do AI lines myself, tho.
