Strange tutorial as that is not a rim swap but a wheel swap(and disks), and is is not pedantic to say they are two very different things.
Also why did he go into Max at all? everything he did can be done in 3DSimED. 3DSimED has had an update since that video and that texture exporting he did is automatic now.
No need to align the wheels, the game aligns them on the fly and you can use CM to position and save them.
Now if you do want to just swap rims then going via Max or Blender is the best way as you can scale them to fit the tyres.
Thanks for your info, I'm not expecting it will be that much.I asked him yesterday how to become gold and basically you have to donate him 50 euros or 50 dollars and you can get every gold mod that came out in the past and those that willbe released. Unfortunately I don't have 50 to spend this way but the cars seems very good :/
Everyone plays as they want, according to their desires, their budget, etc. without criticizing their neighbor. Above all, be correct on the circuit or on the forum. (sorry for my english)
(Chacun joue comme il veut, suivant ses envies, son budget, etc sans critiquer son voisin. Qu'il soit correct sur le circuit surtout ou sur le forum).
Thanks for the advise and point me to the right software from the very start.
Will surely do more research and educate myself a bit. Then come back to you and ask more questions!
Of course, if you have time, a little tutorial to kick start will be great kakaka
Must do for each individual wheel (LF,LR,RF,RR).
If you just copy and paste one wheel at all four corners it will not work due to naming convention.
Not too familiar with the texture saving function on the latest 3dsimED version, but you can select to save texture mapping and .ini file for assetto editor.
Awesome! There’s tutorial video to start with! Thanks for your help!
And another thing I will surely target to figure out asap is how to transform those cool looking drift cars into racing focus cars that have good handling.
Christ, nobody is criticizing anyone in any shape or form. Its called constructive criticism - you know, as I said, you'd enjoy something more with just a tiny bit of upgrade. But dont turn around and say, "my controller, my life, my game"... Well you can do whatever the hell you want.
Launching a pre worded defensive, knowing you drive with a controller, and then turning around and basically saying AC is fake or not real, so it dont matter what you do in an effort to protect his decision not to even try or show any desire to want more. Is, sorry for saying, a sad way of saying, you all dont need a rig or wheel, just use a joy pad like me. Its not real anyways.
But as he keeps referring to AC as something different than a sim to minimize his controller usage, than said person says its just a 'game'. Like Pole Position from 1982, or Crazy Taxi on the Sega Dreamcast.
There is a difference. Paul Tracy and I talking on the phone about what sim he's gonna use before he does the 12 hours of Bathurst - why am I even trying to explain the difference in a sim and a video game.
Controller on. You can spot it in 5 seconds of a video... and it would drive like that for the person behind the screen. If that's fun, have at her.
cheers
That was my favourite thing to do (until the trial version of 3Dsim ran out ahah) - turn these atrocious drift machines into normal cars. Swapped steering wheels, seats, etc. It was fun while it lasted.
This is my take on the Gaya Street MK II : AE86 wheels / seats / engine and revised suspensions. Drives like a charm now
Hello gents and ladies (there must be a few here right?),
I've pretty much already given up hope but I thought i would post this question anyhow. About 2 months ago my rig had a hard crash (full lockup on screen, audio, etc) while having an AC session. After I rebooted, things were definitely off. Every time i would start a race via CM the race was cancelled. It took me quite a long time to get things back to "normal". TBH I don't recall exactly what I did, but it involved re-installing AC via Steam, verifying files, and a bunch of other hoops i jumped through. Everything is now fine, however, I no longer can see the Sol app, or my A3PP filter app. Actually I no longer have a drop-down menu for any of my additional apps beyond the standard AC ones (they are all switched on in the menus). I don't really care about the other apps but i would love to get the Sol app working again. It's not a hassle but i miss being able to tune the weather/time/graphic settings without going through the main menus. I have tried deleting my AC folder in documents several times to no avail, I have played with all the python options i read about also with no luck, and ive basically given up.... That said, does anyone have any ideas as to what I may try to get it back working again.
its not a huge deal and AC is running like a champ now, but.... it would be nice...
Thanks in advance.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... deeper down the off-topic rabbit hole we go once again.
Seems like it's impossible to keep this thread on topic.
It just sounds like if your not actually driving a real formula car than why put any effort into it. Just asking, since you feel the way above, is that why you drive with a controller?
Your right though it doesn't matter how its played but you can enjoy it a hell of a lot more with at least wheel.
Personally, using a controller for a true sim would be no point in even trying to get the most out of it.
Get rid of your controller heh, Assetto isn't Daytona USA by Sega
Hell get a cheap wheel! Or, as you say, "Its your game after all!!!"
Might be OK for karts but for me it's too short and too twisty for cars, and has absolutely no flow. It's got more hairpins than Vidal Sassoon.
Very annoying. No redeeming features. Silly grass. Hate it. Deleted.
Does community have idea on best visual version for Sebring Track Mod to download?
Go and take the one from Legion (AC Reboot, reworked by Legion) https://perendinator.blogspot.com/search?q=sebring
It's imo the best available and much better than the Madbrain version on RD.
Thank you Fana I did not know this mod
Are all his track mod worth installing?
Any standout as must have?

The performance of the Jalpa even when it came out was only soso. 0-60 in 6 seconds 250hp and 3300lbs. The countach had 400 hp and similar weight. But the early 80's were a bit of a low point for Performance cars in general. But it does look cool especially if you get to see one in person. Would be fun to see a tuned version created for AC with performance to match the GTOJust tried out that Jalpa posted earlier. Never knew of that model before, but I instantly got vibes of the 288 GTO. Too bad the performance differs so much or they'd be great to cruise together

There should definitely be a wet Sebring since so many memorable Sebrings were run in downpour conditions!
