Do any of you happen to have a Ford Escort RS Turbo. Either series 1 or 2. I swear I saw one ages ago. I don't know if it was completely updated though.

Barber Motorsport Park (Birmingham, AL)...
I have the VRC/Rigel version which is pretty good, but each time I drive the track I feel something is missing.
IRL there are metal sculptures all around the track, spiders, ants, dragonflies and many more.
Does anyone knows about a AC version that has (at least some of) these ?
The spider in turn 5 being the most obvious one:

My version of Barber has the spider and the ants..........
But like sab001 I'm not sure who made it....
Folder name is just barber_motorsports_park

Also has updated V2 AI by Kevin - so he may know

This was a bit of a quick fix, a bit of shader work, some minor visual changes and a physics overhaul.

Fecebook?
On a side note, someone was curious why I always use "Fecebook" for these post. It's mostly tongue-in-cheek. While social media has some wonderful aspects that most of us appreciate, it's also a place for a lot of "crap" such as misinformation, incorrect ideas and opinions, and ridiculously rude individuals. We just have to take all the good, and flush the rest.

Iss there a way to have a ext_config for a track skin? Or having an ext_config that use thesse line for the specific skin
I plan to release my modern monza, but as they have all the same layout, only working with skins instead of adding tracks would be clever.

Hello everyone, hope you're doing great!

I would like to add crowds to a track I'm converting In a few days. So i wanted to know how to do it.

From what I've been looking, there seems to have kunos crowds? I found that out looking at the Lago Maggiore conversion from GT. There were meshes on the ground only related to crowds which can be generated via extension file, is that correct?

Are there any documents or tutorials that I can take a look so that I can learn how to do it

I placed here all the updates I made, on RD they have deleted because ethically they do not want improvements to simdream mods
them it's my first car modifications , i'm noob and so they're not perfect but at least they make simdream mods playable, maybe they have too much grip, I will try to correct in the future.
or if someone wants to improve them it is welcome

There's a version of Terra21 with the folder name "barber_motorsports_park".

This made me realize that I had this track in my storage, but totally forgot about it, thinking I had seen the sculptures in another sim.
Reinstalled it now and the spider/ants are indeed present, but the track - while it was good 4 years ago - isn't up to Rigels' VRC version. So it's kind of an let down when driving both back to back.

I massively updated the Escort mod with much better visuals (paint detail) a stock engine, removed BTCC parts and made some adjustments to the physics to make it more "stock". But unfortunately because I dont have the authors permission, I cant share it. If the author sees this it would be awesome if i could share it on here. It is a reasonably mild edit, but it atleast is stock, drives like stock and looks stock. Suspension wise it needs some more work from someone who is more advanced.
It uses a completely stock torque curve from a real RS Turbo, along with the ratios so the power and gearing are 100% accurate.
I also fixed the broken gauges.

I find it a trifle skittish even with your setup. I must say I haven't driven the car before, and I haven't driven Road America since the early 2000s in GPL so I have forgotten the layout. I think I will take some time in the RSS 360 Modena (one of my favourites) to learn the circuit!

Well, you know the old racing aphorism: "Loose is fast!"

I am unable to test this out for several hours. Were you able to get rid of the understeer and get it to have lift off oversteer?
Oversteer is partially a matter of taste (or preference, at least). You can dial it out with bars, springs, camber, toe, TPs or RH. You can adjust what happens when you close the throttle mid-turn with the coast-side of the diff setting (and what happens when you give it full beans with the power-side setting of the diff). Personally, I don't like the car moving around a lot mid-turn when I'm fiddling with the throttle, so I almost always run a very loose diff (typically 25/40 with a GT3 car).

To my knowledge this wont work that way. You'll need to create a new layout and a "models_[Layoutname].ini" for this layout.

I wonder how many private unreleased mods exist for Assetto Corsa.

And how many projects were abandoned over the years.
too many, and since a certain user on this forum (name not named cause cant give him the fame for that) claimed an encrypted mod only takeing 8 minutes to rip out, basically everything that doesnt take profit out of their 100s of hours vanished. you cant count all private and abandoned mods for sure since you dont know the darkest angles of this community, my counter is at 3 abandoned, and arround 12-13 private ones. so you could imagine how many mods there arround the community when every private modder has arround 10 cars or more or less already.
