I know of this GTS, not sure about the wheels though. I like the interior and the handling of this mod, but the exterior seems rather fuzzy to me, and I don't think the V8 sounds right for this car, but you might know better. I think the Real Specs GT might sound more like a 928 V8..? I just don't really like all the reverb effect on it near barriers, etc. But it's probably not hard to edit that value.

All 928's are V8.

Post facelift:

S4 V8 319 hp automatic/manual
GT is pretty much the same car as S4 but always manual + 10 hp more
GTS was 348 hp and wider rear fenders, Porsche rear reflector and came with both automatic and manual

S4 left, GTS right.

In my search for a 4-stroke 2 cylinder engine sound I find the KS Abarth 595 SS sound would be perfect but it doesn't reach the necessary RPMs. Is there a reasonably easy way to extend the rpm range of the engine sound (it currently cuts out at 6000 I think...)?

View attachment 1429293Getting there! ('64 Prinz 4L 600) Now at spec size and wheelbase. To do: redo tail lights, change rollcage, change back window, switch to steels, finish smoothing & mapping, find a sound... (hardly anything left ;) )
As far as i am aware there is no way you can extend the exisiting sound easily

the only way around it would be to lower the engine limiter to match the sound

maybe someone else knows more.....

EDIT: they did know more than me............you learn something new everyday

Since we were talking about the 928... You can buy them for 20K.... sure... but very difficult to restore a bad one. The good examples of GTS are now demanding over 100K... they're almost air cooled 964/993 prices... but you can buy a high mileage S4 or GT for 25.000 euros. But it can have numerous very expensive issues. Not because it's a bad car but because it got very cheap at some point and the cars went to wrong owners who negleted them. That never happened with 911 because they were never cheap.

928 was actually the top model of Porsche. It was kinda predecessor of the Panamera... just much smaller, lighter and sportier. Only 911 Turbo was more expensive. 348 hp on GTS doesn't sound that much now but in the 90's it was enormously powerful. Top speed 270 km/h. Air cooled 911's are very simple cars (even the last 90's ones) as their foundation comes from the 1960's... 911 got updates but it was basically always the same car until the water cooled 996 came. 928 is completely different animal. It was "overbuilt". Here's a great video... it's a fascinating car. Well worth watching.

Always liked the 928. It's another one of those timeless designs that'll never look dated. Came very close to buying one many years ago. Still regret not biting.

+1 for the 928, the aahh car that made me realize I do not have the guts to get a vintage car.
Got a semi-new first gen Audi A3, instead. Deep blue, maybe the heaviest 2-volumes ever made?
Sad, yeah but at least it was when Audi cars refused to just die.
Epic unkillable car.

Plus, the front seats really moved forward...a lot.
How do I know that and how and how many times I used that very specific feature is another story...

I had a missing piece of tail light in LOD C but I fixed the mesh in Blender. (I noticed it missing because it was gone ingame...WHILE IN LOD A)
It looks perfect in CMshowroom.Ingame it still is missing despite being repaired.Close up,it is correct...a little further out and it disappears despite still showing the car in LOD A.
I can find nothing in the extension_config file or the lights.ini.It may be a coincidence that the missing mesh just happened to actually be missing in LOD C. But that is pretty farfetched.
help me................... aaargh!

EDIT...I dropped all LODs but A,and it still is missing. That narrows it down some...I guess...
Definately triggered by distance.
Not affected by the cars ext_config.
Tried this as well...

; Prevent patch from optimizing certain meshes in case it causes issues
DISALLOW_MESH_OPTIMIZATIONS = mesh1, mesh2
DISALLOW_MESH_MORE_OPTIMIZATIONS = mesh1, mesh2

noop...

Hi everyone! So after 1 or 2 months i wanted to drive again in AC, trying out new things, my new monitor with the game and everything. So i have everything for the game, 2.38 pure version using the LCS one(with the hotfix), csp, everything. I wanted to drive but my game started having this issue where white(yellow in night, i assume snow or idk) particles start to appear out of nowhere in fully clear weather, high temperatures. 1 or 2 months ago this didnt happened(to my knowledge) but back then my pure version was the same. The only thing i changed since then is my settings(and my resolution and hz settings) but i tried to test it out with my old settings and the same happened. Tried reinstalling pure, did not help. I don't know if this is a known issue and had been talked about it here but if anybody can help me, i would thank it very much!

Take a look at the Seasons settings in Content Manager > Settings > Custom Shaders Patch > Track Adjustments. You can choose if season adjustments are applied to a track. It is likely that you have "use current date" for Track Adjustments>Seasons and/or Drive option. Even if you have set the Drive temperature to 30+ degrees, there will be snow if the date is currently February. That is my guess as I'm not using Pure 2.38.

Good afternoon, this is probably the final update of the Lotus 23 line, Lotus 23B, on the one hand, I did almost everything I wanted, on the other hand, I'm a little tired of modding, I want to devote more time (the little time I have) to driving.

I don't think many of you have heard about the Luppa79 Pyynikki track here. It's a pretty wild experience :

Anyway, maybe it's on my side, but there was only automatic sidelines and any ai car with slippery habits ended up in one of the numerous trees during the racing process. I made a new fastlane and safer sidelines, i'm clearly not super good at it yet, you'll tell me. I suggest you run a few laps using Luppa's ones first, see how fast and reliable it goes, and in case you 're met with too many issues, here's my version:

It needs improvments especially on the hairpins (i'm sure someone better at this will take the crown soon), but using the Datsun Fairlady against the Honda S800 i still had a damn good time.

Also, i have to ask : are you guys still able to share CSP links? I can't anymore, and i trully wonder if it's another "just me" issue.

THIS gotta be really my cup of tea, Pyynikki is splendid. Though for greediness sake, I would be really keen on hearing everyone' suggestions of tracks for this type of low-powered AI racing.
I used to really enjoy the Pribram rally "Loop of Madness" racing layout from Simtraxx, but for some reason, probably CSP update related, the start/finish position is not at the same spot it used to be, and AI is broken now... https://simracing.blckbox.net/TrackDetails.php?TrackID=simtraxx_pribram

On a positive note, I would suggest Kicevo and Usce, both from Lemax, to race in circle. Slea Heads from Yochang and of course the Union Island Scenic layout from Ben O'Bro, for a racing/cruising experience, though I believe for these last 2, AI leaves a bit to be desired.
Everything is available on Breathe's list

I just meant the distinction of having a proper sounding 928 V8 as opposed to a muscle car sounding V8 that the GTS mod has.

You've got backseat activities not appropriate for this family forum, I get it.

Has anyone tried the "Sauerlandring" from Overtake? I don't find it so bad for vintage races. If a good grass FX could still have , it would be almost better!
