There's another version of Meadowdale on Overtake, it might be worth to take a look if you're not aware of it already.
It's also a more complete track overall.
Terrific fun!Great track.AI was terrible.

EDIT... I just deleted the code in ai_hints.ini and replaced it with this bomb...(back yours up just in case)

Going over another one of those early track skins I tried to make. This one wasn't that bad surprisingly, but it was done when I was using Sol. It needed a little brightness adjustment for Pure and my Pure filters\scripts. Plus the vao patches I tried to make were poorly done. There were still too many overly dark shadows.

Sergio really did a nice job with this track and I forgot how much I enjoy driving all three layouts. It's been a pretty long time since I turned laps on them.

Yes. I made it. Just once. But a series of factors need to come together that are difficult to match in the same space and time, hence the difficulty of reaching that state of nirvana. Namely:

  • A very well-modded car.
  • A very well-AI'ed track.
  • A (ahem) bug-free CSP version...
  • (Important) One (or two) unfiltered Belgian Trappists (Only when sim driving, kids).
  • (Very important) That your esteemed couple is not at home and that their mobile phone does not have battery and/or coverage.

This is assuming we are offline. If we are online, the chances of reaching ecstasy are reduced to practically zero...

I'm running the game for fun on holidays, on my laptop. The road mesh seems pretty flat (can't be sure without a FFB wheel)?

Otherwise i am running the track backwards on my vid apparently :lol:.

Don't have VR, but the second option improved my lap times immensely.
But you lose aspects that help with immersion; when your wife is constantly screaming in your ear that the food has been getting cold on the table for half an hour just when you are on the power lap of your life, it must be a bit like when a track engineer pushes his driver under pressure, while he is concentrated trying to get one millimetre more closer to Monaco's barriers... 😙

Don't have VR, but the second option improved my lap times immensely.
🤔 That may fix the problem with my spotter yelling "clean the house" and not "car right/left."

Wish it was the CSL... Now that's a car needed in AC.

Speaking of the CSL Chivas autoart is working on it as well as the M3 V8 prototype. Well it should have been done two years ago.

I paid for and greenlit those projects right after this article came out: https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/magazine-article-pool/the-secret-bmw-m-garage-csl-special.html

Also last year got access into BMWs UK plant in Swindon. A lot of stars aligned for this project

Because Yukis had +1500k polys and to dark inside +other little things

Maids has missing exhaust smoke, rear brake and lights shines through indicator housing, missing texture

In the missing mesh problem you can see the closest cars will have complete turn signal graphics and further away ones will have the chrome reflector showing where there should be the lense.

I only included the one skin that is most complete.Also,only LOD A is enabled because thats where the problem is.If you like you can enable the other LODs in the Data folder lods.ini file.

Car will install as a child of opel_gt_race but will work without it.Thank you.(I was trying different sounbanks and this one is a ferrari but I want to make a new one if learning a whole new program is within my abilities) :banghead:

Eventually will be 6 skins for this version and if Blender dosnt break me,an even racier widebody version.
Current version is 200HP and a 5 speed trans.Proper beastie and drives well.

Some things I know it needs...soundbank,taller driver,custom dirty glass...maybe some physics.It drives great but the rearend is 100% Kunos.

I have no problem with the distance between the rear lights.

Thank you,its not the distance between them,its the missing center mesh (turn signal).I can just make out its missing in your screengrab too.So not just my system.
Does the interior mirror blink in and out during replays? (viewed from outside) Cars up close will have a mirror and those further away it will disappear.

I am also testing some foot pedal animations.Just the gas so far.It isnt quite right yet.

Had to double check and unfortunatly yeah, the road mesh is really flat, it also lacks rainfx so I made a quick solution to that.

Made the same mistake of running the track backwards when testing ohyeah's version so ¯\(ツ)
