Ferrari FXX K / Spa-Francorchamps

There is something so incredibly satisfying about taking the U-Turn at Spa perfectly. On your first lap I got that feeling...it's strange to describe. A few tracks have a turn/section like that. On Brands Hatch, it's not Paddock Hill Bend that does it for me but rather Westfield Bend. On Silverstone, Copse.

It's incredible that regular Joe's who've got it in good with Ferrari could be allowed to drive a car like the Ferrari FXX K. An amazing piece of engineering. A real rocket...and a real beauty.

I have the same with the Tarzanbocht at Zandvoort and turn one named 'Elf' I think at Barcelona.
Brands Hatch is a love/hate relationship. Paddock Hill and Clarke :mad:

'ring Tourist layout, why I like it.

I've been driving the Tourist layout more often lately. I've also taken a bit of a liking to that Skyline from Kunos as well. This may just be me, but when i drive that R34 I feel like it takes forever to redline 3rd & 4th gear. It's certainly no weakling when it comes to horsepower...I'm pretty sure I looked at the gear ratios too. It's not a matter of really tall gearing - unless I'm misremembering the drivetrain/car combo. I'm sure I've said this before, but I'm going to keep saying it. The opening sound in your videos is orgasmic. :D

Is that the GT-R Premium mod?

This isn't personal...I gripe about this every time I see this in a video: I hate how easy it is to pass three-quarters of the field on the opening flag. From 12th to 4th on turn one at Spa. Kunos needs to fix this ridiculous crap. It's not anything against you personally, @Himura...like I said, I see it on videos all the time. It's just ridiculously easy to pass cars on the opening flag. It cheapens the entire experience, in my mind, which is why I intentionally hold back until the first corner. Otherwise, I might as well just make it a 4 car race - except in that case you could probably jump to 2nd or 1st at Turn 1. Kunos needs to do something to eliminate this nonsense. :grumpy:

Thanks, it is a great combo.

The opening sound is some licence free audio I found of a GT40 taking off, it does sound quite amazing.

Tonight was classic Lotus night.

To be honest, I wasn't even aware that the 98T was actually drivable, let alone such fun. Beautiful monster.

First time trying the 49 as well. Great drive, as expected. Brings a huge smile to your face.

I really didn't know anything about the Lotus 49 before getting Assetto Corsa. Well, I knew it was a very popular car as I'd seen it in videos on YouTube for older sim racing titles and it's still making it into modern sims, so I assumed it must be a good car. From my very first drive with that thing I knew it was something special. You can have so much fun with that thing. I think even the Lotus 25 is good fun. :D

Ugh...The Lotus 98T. Or as I call it, "The Nightmare Maker". Everything about that car scares me. You know how the cars in NASCAR have those clear pull-off windshield protector layers? When I drive the Lotus 98T I have to use my own version...except it's tear-off underwear. Every couple of laps I have to make a quick change. :nervous: :embarrassed:

Last night was Audi Quattro night:

Bonkers!

Not as straightforward as it might seem, you really need to work this car to get the most of it.
